Ashley Wagner will be skating to Black Swan, but I can't recall what program it will be.
What is the difference between saying you are skating to the Black Swan soundtrack versus skating to the Swan Lake score? I saw the movie and it was just (a somewhat adapted) Swan Lake score.

Korpi´s new FS will have choreo by Shae-Lynn Bourne. Lepistö will get a new SP, and keep the last season´s FS, which she had not competed with.

Awesome! Kiira had lovely choreography this season (particularly in the SP) and I hope to see it continue :)

I am glad to see Bourne get more work as I have really enjoyed the programs she has choreographed.

Awesome! Looking forward this this! So the SP is choreographed by Carlemango and the FS by Lori Nichol, yes?

You mean her Tango FS from the Olympics season?

:swoon: I've said it once and I'll say it again, one of the best choreographed programs of that Games.

It will be louder.

Haters will hate. I look forward to it! I always thought Carmina Burana would be good for Tomas (disregarding it's overusedness [is that a word?]), so at least he's putting a twist on it. I just hope it's not like MJ in that it gets cut to death.

Edit: after digging around on YouTube I would have to guess that the hip hop Carmina Burana will be an instrumental of NAS - Hate Me Now... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CqS8MzbCZxU ... has he given us more specifics? If it's this version I have to admit I really like it... the idea of Carmina Burana remix brings thoughts of the worst muzak imaginable, but this actually has some production quality to it.

Are you sure you don't mean that she'll keep her SP (which was a new one) and get a new FS?

Oh, no. Lepisto to keep that BO-RING elevator-music LP that we saw in Vancouver? It doesn't matter how great it was choreographed if it sounds dreadfully boring.

I think Lepisto never had the chance to debut the long program last season.. so it's not the tango program she used at the Olympics, which I find absolutely stunning and amazing. ;)

And I'm so thrilled to see a new short! Hope she stays healthy, it's a long off season indeed.

I meant as far as what would be a more enjoyable/watchable programme.

It was me joking, I did understand you correctly

I'd love to see Laura as the Black Swan if we can also see Carolina as the Fire Bird to duel it out at Europeans. <3

i would love to see laura as the black swan. the stare of death she gave when her music was mis-started in vancouver is one of my favorite moments from the olympics. plus, there's a strange mixture of grace and how to say, hm, rigidity? to her movements that somehow reminds me of a dancer snapping into position. generally i prefer lyrical flow but laura is definitely one of my favorites. carolina too.

i would not mind the firebird for carolina as music, but her history of using illusion fabric a very different shade from her skin color causes me to faint when i picture her potential firebird costume. perhaps she'll even have feathers on her head, not a nest like oksana baiul's, but something that makes her seem like she's 8 feet tall. ah, the plumage!

First of all, it wasn't boring.

Second of all, why would it matter? As long as it fits the music well, it doesn't matter if you think its "boring" or not. Good choreo. will always shine through.
