Ilinykh/Katsalapov FD to Ave Maria, Riazanova/Tkachenko - Romance from Snowstorm.
What quiqie forgot to mention is that the info is taken from the FSO (http://forum.fsonline.ru/index.php?s=&showtopic=2004&view=findpost&p=243403) (the test skates thread)
(the :scare: is Zhiganshina/Sinitsin's `Phantom of the Opera'. The FSO people bet the next season programme will be Tango. And the rest of `the best of Davis/White'...)

Can I hope that they don't use Schubert's Ave Maria, but instead go for Bach? It's probably too much to ask from Morozov's limited music collection :(

:sekret: says it is certainly not Schubert's. :sekret: is not sure whether it's Bach's, but it sounds a lot like to :sekret:

More specifically, when translated, the FSO post says,
"Ave Maria" with vocals in modern orchestral arrangement.
I wonder if it's the version Petrova & Tikhonov used as an exhibition. A modern arrangement of Ave Maria? Now I'm a bit worried. But at least there is potential for it not to be horrible (I actually wish it could've been Schubert's).

That makes me feel better about the music choice.
Anything that isn't so churchy with the organs and everything shouldn't be too bad.
Seems a bit of an odd choice for them though. I suppose it's that whole stupid uplifting music role though.

Loving that I&K is covering Sarah Hughes' catalogue. So voidy!
I would love to see a team use Bobby McFerrin's Ave Maria, but I don't see that working for I/K.

Hmm. It's a bit too subtle to move up like I would hope, but knowing the other music choices maybe it could be a good one. Judging by the description you almost wonder if it's going to be Belbin's version... I always wanted to see that program at full potential ;)

i have my doubts, too. i would like to see the classical ave maria version and maybe it could be good. but a modern arrangement? morozov achieved great with ando, has made some good progams for his male students, but iīm very sceptical if this combo will match
