Are you sure, wondering since I'm quite sure I read in DN it is Europeans 2014 Stockholm wants to bid for not Worlds.
It would be great for Sweden to bid for 2014 Europeans as opposed to 2014 worlds because it's been longer since they hosted Euros (2003 Malmo, which will have been 11 years), as opposed to Worlds (2008 Goteborg, which will have been 6 years in 2014). The before Olympics Euros are incredibly prestigious and always desired.

I'd personally like to see Great Britain or Germany get 2014 worlds.

Australia or South America for 2014!

There would have to be an official sized rink (or space/conditions to built one) in South America first... :(

I think the Multi-purpose arena that was the gymnastics venue for the 2007 PanAm games could have the necessary floor size, but I doubt it would have ice making equipment. May be Buenos Aires would have conditions.

(and with the world cup being held in Brazil that year, figure skating would be the last thing in the minds of any South American sports authority :( )

But OTOH anything in my hometown will be :D :D

I'm pretty sure Lotta & Roger said worlds, but of course I can be mistaken! Maybe they were confused as well.

Europeans would be great as well, I'll totally go to Globen! No Japanese skater will be there though;)

When do we find out the 2014 and 2015 hosts? This summer?

For 2014 worlds/Euros/Jr Worlds - this summer. For 2015 worlds/Euros/Jr Worlds - summer of 2012. They are much slower to announce the Four Continents hosts - it seems like not a lot of countries want to host FCC.

I just checked the ISU website, and the 2013 hosts were announced on June 28, 2010, but that announcement coincided with the ISU Congress in Barcelona. Usually, it's announced a month or two later than that.

Last week, I send an E-mail(http://en.worldfigureskating.ru/?t=7) and received reply.

all day event tickets.. not an individual tickets ? I'm :confused:

Yes, it's been announced earlier that tickets will be sold for the whole day, not for individual events. But $300-400 is way too expensive - Russian media have mentioned that the maximum prices will be within the range of $100-200. Moreover, no information is available yet about the official dealers chosen to sell tickets over the Internet, so any website offering tickets now is not offering them officially. Be careful!

We might have to work out ways to cram a few more seats into the Icehouse or something, but it would totally work ;)

We already hosted the Best Olympics Ever, the Best Commonwealth Games Ever, Worlds should be a piece of cake

No, fake site.
Sorry about the confusion

The reliable site announced the sale of tickets for the gala in St-Petersburg on May 2, (!) it's not the official gala of the Worlds in Moscow on May 1. Prices are 500-1,800 roubles plus 10% for the service of that site:

If the ticket sales start so late, I don't think there will be many people outside Russia in the audience.

The organizers are still not sure whether the tickets will be on sale on April 11:eek: I'm afraid they will end up selling tickets with only one week left until the WC.

That's not a good thing. If I may ask, what is the source of your information?

Megasport Arena press office. I called them earlier today and asked when the tickets would be available, and their answer was: 'We don't know, the Russian Figure Skating Federation is planning to start the sales on Monday (April 11), but this date is indicative only'. I tried to call the Russian Figure Skating Federation, but they didn't answer the phone :(
