Lepistö is not going, says a Finnish newspaper.:(

That's the sadest piece of news. I really hoped she could make it.
Please, please, please Laura, come back competitive soon!

Universal Sports article : Yuna Kim confirmed for Moscow Worlds

To think that, in a skating season, we'd have to wait 'til late April for the debut of someone's competitive programs! Ditto the full FD of Virtue/Moir.

Then again, I think late April will be better for Tessa unless something else happens. *shrug*

And, as for TV coverage, BOLD IS GOLD in my little world.

I so wish I could get Bold here even if only for the HD (which Universal Sports still doesn't have...would make my day if that ever came).

Sorry to hear about Lepisto. :( I also hope she can come back next season.

:cheer2: to seeing Yuna again!!! Looking forward to the new programs. :)

I have Bold but not Bold HD yet - it isn't carried by my digital service provider.

Interesting that Russia will stick with "summer time" from now on. I think we should do the same thing here. I get such a boost in the spring when that extra hour of daylight appears in the evening.

PLEASE no. I hate it when it's still dark at 7am. I wish they'd go back to the old cycle (spring forward 1st wk of April)

RD I think it may depend a great deal on just where you are located within a time zone. Before the time change this year the sun was in my eyes by 7 am waking me up. It also depends even more on your situation - I am very very lucky because I don't have to be up by 7 am so that explains my position.

If someone had told me last fall that I'd be waiting until April to see their programs I would have choked!!

Associated Press article: Russia to expedite visa process for skating worlds (http://www.usatoday.com/sports/olympics/2011-03-25-2919543088_x.htm)

Russia's top Olympic official says the government will expedite the visa process for the world figure skating championships that Moscow has taken over from earthquake-ravaged Japan.

Alexander Zhukov, the deputy prime minister who heads the Russian Olympic Committee, tells The Associated Press that officials will make the often-difficult visa procedure "much easier."

I hope Jason works out something so he can be with Alissa. Until she is fully confident in herself (she is very close imo), I think she very much needs him with her.

Re Lepisto, I don't know what the skater she would have bumped would have done if she had been replaced, but it seems the federation would have been subject to legal action since the team had already been named.

Regarding the "special treatment" of Japanese athletes, does this mean they will be awarded sympathy points? Hmmmm

Then what else did Cinquanto mean by that? Giving condolences, perhaps? If so, "special treatment" was the wrong way to word it.

BTW, keeping it classy (http://www.fsuniverse.net/forum/showpost.php?p=3121816&postcount=559).

I wouldn't want to be the person who tried to come between David Dore and anything he truly wanted. But I'd certainly buy tickets to watch it unfold.

Well he better get a move-on because God just might be that person. I walked into the Kingston arena next to him last fall and the guy looks to be about 108. Well, ok, maybe 103-104 with a suit on...
