Phaneuf was also listed right? They just lost 1/3 of their advertised cast.

Hmm I think so .. I wonder if they will try and reschedule. I suspect this tour has been struggling in the past few years (I still remember the awful one where I went and they used no show lighting .. ?? in Ottawa .. bizarre but I suspect it saved on costs).

Although the most important is the worlds I do feel bad for the skaters losing the tour money and the shows themselves.

Jeez. Lady, don't get me wrong, but you're being an annoying sour grape.

Who is being a sour grape?

It'll be a bit of a hard hit to the SOI show in Canada who will be down V&M and Sawyer. I'm very glad I didnt buy tickets!!
(no offense but SOI in Canada is not what it used to be with a big group of international skaters).
I have on ice seats. However of course the skaters' priority should be Worlds. :)

Absolutely. I'd rather see, for example, V&M at Worlds. I was debating flying to Ottawa or Toronto during easter break with the girls to see a show but I think now I'll just tell them to play outside while I sit glued to the TV :D

My exams last until April 27th so this may make watching a bit difficult in the beginning of the week but hopefully I will be able to fully switch to Russia time and watch all the events.

PVR is my friend :)

I don't think they will change the dates, it will be too complicated.
Good luck to CSOI...

They won't miss the whole CSOI tour, just the first half and I expect they'll add other skaters for those shows. I wonder if this means they'll record the TV broadcast somewhere other than Hamilton...

Glad it's going ahead - happy for the skaters. Definitely not good timing for me but who cares - let the games begin! So Chan ends up being pretty smart to have gone to CoR earlier this year. For him I think it is important to have some familiarity with a place to do his best.

CSOI - well at least my stop is not at the same time as Worlds but it's pretty close so I won't expect the skaters to have rejoined the tour so quickly but I will go anyway. Imho, CSOI would be smart to try to sign up the next-in-line Canadian skaters for the tour. I would love to see Paul/Islam, Lawrence/Sweigers, etc. and it could only be good for their development.

Great news. Very happy for all the skaters-no more limbo.

Big thanks to Russia.

I think I am still in class that week so it will be a little hard, but I should be able to watch some on Tuesday, thursday and over the weekend

and most importantly thank you, Russia! :cheer:

Thanks to Russia! This is great news.

I hope we have many people on this board who'll be able to attend and :sekret:

Yay! Only 1 month to Worlds!

My fave raves to win this year are Tomas and Alissa, but if not them I hope the singles titles are won by Japanese skaters.

I'm glad that a definite decision has been made.
I hope that supportive and enthusiastic crowds will attend.
I'm sorry that I can't be there.

Thank you, Russia!

Best piece of news to come out since March 11th. Delighted on behalf of the skaters. :cheer2:
