Putin has agreed to make an appearance at the final presentations. Will he and maybe plush go shirtless?

Since the vote was Wednesday, why wait till then?

They need to count, re-count, and if necessary, change the eleven votes. :P

If the voting has already finished, then I think someone will leak the result soon....

I wouldn't assume all the members will vote for their own federation. Canada doesn't seem to be all that gung ho about hosting. And I wonder if Finland is given the reports.

Phil Hersh is up and on the phone again...garnering new quotes from Speedy, including this latest gem:

``I am Catholic, and Easter is very important to me,'' he said. ``But I have not looked at the calendar. ...'' (on Phil's question as to whether or not Western & Orthodox Easter, April 24 for both this year, will have impact on the dates)

Phil's latest blog article: http://newsblogs.chicagotribune.com/sports_globetrotting/2011/03/cinquanta-expects-new-world-skating-site-by-friday.html

ISU council member Marie Lundmark (who lives in Turku!) says "Turku Worlds would also be Japan's Worlds", and Japan would have the possibility to bring their opening ceremony act(s) to Turku.

WHAT? It wouldn't be the "Putin & Plushy Show"? :P

David Dore wants the job. I can't imagine that, having been suspended for cheating, that Didier could get elected. People already think that the results are all fixed. If the architect of the SLC Pairs Scandal was elected as the head of the ISU, the sport would be finished.

Dore would be an excellent choice.

BTW is Speedy retiring?

Your comments might have been funny at some point. But now they are just insulting and ungracious. I don't know why you keep posting this BS. Over and over.

How old Dore is? I think ISU have age limit for ISU president
