If all they want is reinstatement for Plushenko, by all means give it to them.
It s not a secret that plusenko caused the quake, that caused the tsunami, that caused the nuclear disruption, that caused the worlds cancellation, that caused Russian F to bid for worlds so as to reinstate him.
he also caused the Libya situation to deviate the focus of world community somewere else while all the above are happening.

Well, of course they caused Libya! That way, Obama would be too busy to personally support the US bid. :skandal

I'm surprised and curious about the French Fed officially offering 2012 worlds to Japan (and also devastated - we had a group of 9 ready to go!). Didier has to know that they will not get 2013 in it's place. 2012 and 2013 were already awarded. Seems like the logical thing to do would be to award 2014 to Japan, if they want it. Makes me wonder if the French Fed is just not ready to host the next worlds.

I don't know about the injury, but the Kerrs appear to be among the few skaters who are (or at least were as of last week) in favor of canceling rather than rescheduling Worlds this season - see their most recent news update on their website.

Yeah I saw that, but they also said "Now we don't know if maybe we will be able to compete after all if it is rescheduled to a later date."

So it sounds like even though they think it should be cancelled they want to compete if they are able." I was just curious as to if the injury was healing well enough for this to be a possiblity.

It really is slow! What are the council members supposed to do during that time? Can't they just send their votes by email and get it over with?

I suppose they need to think about the bids and discuss them before voting.

and as fsu online pointed out to me on twitter- they need to sign contracts and get specifics worked out

This series of moves is far too difficult and technical for Plushenko to pull off. All he can do is jump and whine. :P

But you must admit that it has no clear transitions.

Didier's offer to give Japan 2012 Worlds... more than just altruistic. My commentary @ http://www.blazingblades.com/744144286/skating-world---pay-attention/

Let's just hope there is not another hanging chads situation. Then the World Court will have to decide who the winner is and by then it will, indeed, be October. lmao
