If all they want is reinstatement for Plushenko, by all means give it to them. It's not like his knees are going to get any better between now and 2014.

The Plushenko bashing will never end, I think.:)

He might be training to be the Tech Specialist (Caller) right now. We might see Plush with the headset & mike on the panel at Worlds!

especially since the reinstatement of Plushenko was pretty sure already before Worlds 2011... :P :)

Sorry, but one can also say "oh! Vancouver! so let's go gold V/M! oh! US! let's go Alissa/Rachael!"...if one wants to see conspiracy, there's always plenty of space... :blah:
But it's definetely not the case here...All these feds are just to thanks for the amount of work they're putting upon themselves in order to let the skating world have Worlds 2011!!! :cheer2:

I If moscow becomes the host for 2011 and plushenko soon after becomes reinstated, i'm sure the news will become a media blitz that will negatively impact the sport with news of bribery, corruptions. i'm sure the ISU will not tolerate it.

The ISU has shown itself to be amazingly clueless (or wilfully ignorant) about how bad it has looked in the media in the past. Allegedly the ISU didn't think it had to bother doing anything about the suspect judging at the Salt Lake City Olympics - even though it and the sport were being vilified all around the world. The Intl. Olympic Committee had to get involved before the ISU even considered taking any action.

So the possibility of a negative "media blitz" might not make the least bit of difference to what the ISU decides to do.

I am amazed by some of the attitudes here. Blind hate, speculation and complete lack of grace. I hope most people understand that all the parties involved are doing the best they can - under very difficult and unique circumstances.
ITA. I think it says more about the nature of figure skating fans to try and find consipracies in everything than actually objectively evaluate what the ISU are doing.

Yes, exactly. Only elected Council members vote. The President and Vice-Presidents are also Council members.

All others are appointed hired stuff who get the salary.

I am Russian and is really offended to hear all these speculations about Worlds+Putin+ISU+Plushenko deal or some other deals from people with sick imagination.

The Russian Federation was one of the first to offer to host the Worlds so that to allow the skaters who were training hard preparing for the Worlds to have a chance to compete.

I do not mean that Russia should be praised for this but I think it's not fair to start accusations without any grounds.

The question to these people-Will you start speculating soon that Piseev arranged the earthquake and tsunami in Japan so that to have Worlds, so that....then everything according to your scenario?
Judging by some speculations here I shall not be surprised if such theory will appear soon.

I am not Russian and I am saddened by the mudslinging and cynicism towards the Russian Federation.

I am very relieved that the World Championship will be held this spring. I am grateful to all federations who are offering to take on this task.

I really believe that Cinquanta would be much happier to just cnacel the event all together.
