Ice dance is a bit more challenging as I prefer when the musical choices fit (and follow) the theme and my favorite style is Blanc / Bouquet's.
I sooo wanted them on Madjo for next season. When I listened to her a few months ago, I was so sure it was for them and when I saw that Arribert had her gaze on Je Claque Des Doigts (http://listen.grooveshark.com/#/search?q=madjo%20je%20claque%20des%20doigts), I was *wheeee*. Now I'm mourning. :(

Ashley Wagner is the ONLY US female I could see skating to black swan music. Her use of the Spartacus ballet score inpressed me two years ago. Alissa is Odette, and anyone else is too sweet and young in presentation to be Odile. Ashley could do it. She has a boldness about her, an attack that is necessary.

Yes, Wagner is the only US lady currently I believe who could pull off the role of the black swan. Nagasu has the speed and attack, but still lacks the maturity I believe. Without a doubt, Czisny would make the best white swan. Kostner is the best candidate I think to play dual roles.

I REALLY hope that Yu-na keeps her Arirang LP... so much potential and it'd be a terrible shame to not see it performed to perfection. Hopefully, she'll continue competing next season, go through the GP series, and then bring it to life at next year's worlds. *crosses fingers*

I have the same hope. I think her LP has the potential to be a masterpiece. I hope coming in second at this Worlds like a fire under her to want to :kickass: next season.

Ita. I feel like part of the reason some people were saying that it lacked the usual Yu-na spark was 1). her year off competitive skating and 2). she's in a transitional phase artistically speaking. I feel as if she's trying to express something deeper, something more soulful and meaningful than w/say last year's Gershwin and what we saw at Worlds was the awkward half-way stage- but there were nonetheless flashes of the brilliant masterpiece it could be such as the footwork sequence (which I was tearing up over).

Even this flawed Arirang was a beauty. I really do love it and I think she did deserve to win the PCS over Ando. The music cuts are gorgeous and her overall movements just seem to be more precise and balletic. With a bit more training and mileage with this program, I think it could become a classic.
