I loved the black & white one that she started the season with. I hated the Robin Lake dress as well as the program.

That 2002 Campbell's purple one was a pretty dress but I hated the fit & it also made her look really flat chested. The purple & gold one was more flattering even though it was kind of garish.

You're just miserable because Sasha once stole your boyfriend/girlfriend, then ran over your cat whilst shreiking hysterically, than she threw feces at your siblings on their birthday, and to top it all off she ruined your skating career when she exposed you for being a man and entering the ladies event at competitions. Want to know how I know this? Lucky guess.

 :respec:

2002 Campbells (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wxW1aGxOWL0&t=4m5s).

Thank you!! THAT'S the performance I was looking for a while back when I was trying to show my favorite hairdo of hers. Actually, that's my favorite look of hers, ever -- best dress, best hair, best everything. And when she was holding that red rose in the K&C, I thought she should have had her portrait painted like that. :)

Would you guys call that purple, though? I always thought it was deep blue. Might be that shade that's right on the border between purple and blue, I guess.

Exactly how do you know what she's wanted all along?

Well put.

Really, though, it's odd. Most skaters want people to boo and throw rotten eggs at them.

;)

Agreed--nice, simple dress, pretty hair. I think it's deep blue as well. Don't see any purple.

No I can't, because it has never been about Sasha's performance. It's about her and how much attention is lavished on her regardless of performance. She had the wrong motivations for a skating career all along. She has delved halfheartedly into acting because she thought it would be an easy segue into another career where it's all about "you." Nothing has come of it. Tara did the same thing but has surprisingly been able to salvage a successful commentating career out of it. Where Sasha is going, no one knows, but from her short-lived Vancouver "analysis" stint, it's clear that she does not have the aptitude for public speaking. I think that SOI is the best place for her, because as a performer the attention comes first and skating technique comes second, and this has been the trajectory of her skating path. However, even SOI doesn't last forever and she needs to have a backup plan. Even her going to school is done halfheartedly, not even having a major after how many years of being out of high school? She knows she needs a backup plan, but doesn't really want to do it because there is no glory and adoration in going to school.

I've been out of high school for way many more years than Sasha-and I still don't have a major either. A lot of people can't decide on their majors, and a lot of people-like myself-string out their college education for YEARS. Doesn't make us bad people-just undecided. Nothing wrong with that.

And how do YOU know that Sasha delved into acting 'half-heartedly'? You seem awfully certain about Sasha's inner thoughts and motivations for someone who likely doesn't even know her. Or perhaps you are privy to some inside info on Cohen unlike some of us here. How do you know she didn't put her whole heart into acting? Perhaps she did but just didn't get call backs from auditions. Perhaps she wasn't even offered the chance to audition for roles she might have wanted. It happens-to hundreds if not thousands of actors the world over. My baby sister is an actor out in Hollywood-and she's having tough times in spite of gigs in shows like Private Practice. Someone like Sasha probably has way better connections-but sometimes you just don't have it for a role. Even truly talented actors like John Travolta get rejected for roles-he was turned down for "Apollo 13". Of course, Sasha doesn't have that level of acting talent but if she wants to keep working on it more power to her. And if she doesn't good for her. It's her life, she should live it as she pleases. And if acting's not her thing, then she should move on to something that does Rock her world. And she can decide, again like some of us, what she wants to major in whenever she pleases. If it's 10 years down the line so be it.

And you know this how?

You must be a close friend or an associate of hers since you know so much about what goes on in her head.

And you know, quite a few people aged 26 are not sure what to do with their lives next. Some change careers even later than this. Except very few of them have an OSM. I think it's premature to start tearing the hair out, wailing "What WILL become of Sasha??!!!" "How WILL she manage?" :drama:

I never felt any of her Rach dressed fit right with the program (wasn't one of the earlier ones borrowed from Jenni Meno? You know the blue Star Trek looking one), and I didn't know what she was thinking with the majorette costume she ended up with.

A little OT, but, which Swan Lake dress did you guys prefer?

I like the black and white one, showing the duality of the piece. :D

Here's a good one concerning the final Rach dress, who wore it better: Sasha or Fumie? http://media.photobucket.com/image/sasha%20cohen%202002/_polkadots_/fumiesasha.jpg

I liked the last Rach dress :shuffle:, although I understand using two primary colors opposite one another on the color wheel can be a bit jarring. IMO, it has a much better cut than the purple Rach dress she originally helped design and wore (http://skaterjen7.files.wordpress.com/2008/02/ac-ex4.jpg?w=565). Which is a shame, because it was quite pretty in many ways. Same thing with her moonlight sonata dress (http://photography.ice-dance.com/albums/2008-2009-season/2009StarsOnIce/ActTwo/IMG_8154.jpg); I just don't like that cut on her as well at others.

I've always loved both her malaguena dresses: 2003 (http://www.iceskatingintnl.com/images/sk8can/sk8can%202002%20cohen.jpg) and 2004 (http://rinksidecafe.files.wordpress.com/2010/11/sasha-cohen-worlds-2003-sp.jpg?w=339&h=500).

Like someone else said up thread, I'm a Sasha fan. However I was not a fan of her costumes. There were a few that were nice, but most were just okay for me.

Some of the one's I did like was the yellow malaguena dress. The pink dress she wore for Nutcracker (?), blue & gold Rach dress was simple yet nice and the Dark Eyes SP dress for the 06' Olympics. I loved the color of her LP dress, but I wasn't too keen on the design. Though I could understand what she was trying to capture with that look.

I loved them both too (and I'm not generally a big fan of yellow). Then again, I loved that program so much she could have skated it wearing a potato sack and I'd still have been happy.

Not a big fan of the yellow costume -- the design was great but the color wasn't right for her, IMO.

I liked both Malaguena dresses but the yellow is more striking and very Spanish.

Huh, must be my computer screen - it shows up very purple here.

I always wondered if Sasha got her inspiration for the final Rach dress from one of these (http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3111/2331545471_34dee2bb02.jpg)
