I doubt they want for money. They'll be there pani.

I agree. They have made appearances, have endorsements, and sold a lot of books. They are probably OK for the time-being.

Yes, but T-S need money. They didnt skate all season and didnt have any prise money and they must pay for traning.
But will see. I cant imaging Paul-Islam could be ready for WCh

Oh please. Their training is likely paid for by Skate Canada who stated they would do anything to assist them in order to keep them amateur. They have a lucrative Roots contract and Virtue is from a wealthy family. They certainly survived before when they funded their own training and they'll be able to join the end tour after worlds is done.

April 2-3 Ilderton Skating Club Carnival Ilderton Arena, Ilderton, ON
Tessa Virtue / Scott Moir

Hope some Londoners will post videos and reports. I think they will skate at least 1 competitive program. This must help the to be ready for WCh.

I remember reading a few weeks ago that Arctic Edge was putting on a competition preview with V/M, D/W etc. I was waiting for reports, got tied up with family issues, and when I checked back I couldn't find anything. Wasn't anyone there?

It actually never ever crossed my mind for a sec that they would go broke by skipping a season. lol

There was a post in the main worlds thread in GSD that said SOI has let Meryl and Charlie out of their contract for the US tour so they can focus on worlds. I'm sure CSOI will do the same thing for Tessa and Scott. (and Shawn and Cynthia)

One more thing I never even considered, that SOI or CSOI might not let those skaters go to the Worlds. lol

I suspect that Skate Canada and USFS would have some negotiating power here - as in, if SOI and CSOI didn't let the World team members out of their contracts, good luck getting the tour sanctioned for future eligible skaters to participate.

Especially since if any team chooses to do SOI rather than Worlds, wouldn't they get permanently banned by the ISU, as Plushenko did?

I wonder whether all these guys have a clause in their contracts to cover that situation.
