I'm really liking Arcade Fire. Can't imagine enjoying an entire album's worth, but this performance is cool.

There's definitely better songs on The Suburbs IMO than Month of May. Kinda disappointed they went with that one...But yay for being invited at least!

The true Record of the Year

JayZ and Alicia doing Empire State of Mind

Indeed.:respec:

I know it feels like it's been around for ages, but it, IMO, was easily the most memorable work of its category. Jay-Z's lyrics are brilliant.

Love Arcade Fire. I wish they did a different song, but they are such a great band. I would've preferred Ready to Start.

Arcade Fire wins!'

The award for most time used that I wish I could have back.

Other songs on the album are more melodic.

No one asked, but this is my favorite:

That Arcade Fire lighting gave me a headache. Seriously. Ouch. Night snarkers, I'm off to get meds.

Couldn't agree more. Add in the way Alicia Key's voice just cuts through you and itīll be looked back upon as a classic of this time.

I think Arcade Fire sounded like monkey torture with some alien bloops just to annoy me personally. Sorry. :slinkaway

For me I think this is the sort of sound that I notice I have a lower tolerance for as time goes by. I just can't handle the clangy, tinny sounds anymore. They physically irritate me. I enjoy a wide range of music and genre's but I physically can't handle that particular "noise" anymore.

I know I'm supposed to like Arcade Fire- cool alternative stuff from Canada, and I've tried but I'll stick with Hey Rosetta, because I like a little melody with my music.

Empire State of Mind is almost as annoying a song as Soul Sister. I like the Jay-Z part but Alicia is nails on a chalkboard to me.

And how funny is it that my playlist right now has Kingston Trio songs along with Mumford and Sons. I didn't know the Trio was up for a livetime award. Do you suppose they mind being played alongside vulgar language?

Recovery is my choice for Album, but Fame Monster would be good for me too.

Arcade Fire did it! I was really leaning with Gaga based on commercial success. Good for them.
