A little bit of nonsense to while away the hours until it finally starts - this is doing the rounds on facebook:

What's your Royal Wedding guest name? Start with Lord or Lady. Your first name is one of your grandparents'. Double barrel your surname using your first pet and the street you grew up on.

Mine is Lord Henry Rex-Salisbury

The article suggests that the woman who placed the bet might have had some inside knowledge. If she knew about the tiara being sent for cleaning or something maybe it's being cleaned for Zara's wedding.
 I first heard people discussing this tiara on tv with no news reference so, it not being listed on here as George III, I searched for a pic and this newspaper link was first up - lo and behold it was the Russian Fringe :)

Tips from DM on an english breakfast

Anyone fancying roast pheasant - just drive on any motorway over here and they are all over the place - a bit squashed maybe ...

IIRC, the George III / Russian Fringe is that same tiara HMQ wore on her wedding day..............the same one that *snapped* in half and had to be repaired the morning of the ceremony!
The suggestion on tv was that the Queen would be giving it to Kate as a wedding present.

I never heard that Princess Anne declined titles. I read somewhere that the titles of "Royal Highness" are restricted to those in the male line of succession ... so the children of the princes (Charles, Andrew and Edward) get titles, but the children of the princess do not.
True, she did decline any titles for both her children. They are not restricted to children of males.
