I think Kate would look nice in the Girls of Great Britain and Northern Ireland Tiara (http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_TU_1Wmmo6sM/SrRw1Q2RjtI/AAAAAAAAKPk/AqEEvNYNUS0/s1600-h/gbi-tiara.jpg). If she doesn't like it, I'd be happy to wear it. Must keep it polished up and wearable!

Definetly my favorite tiara! Can I borrow it from you, should Kate decide to let you wear it?

Question: Would Zara get to use a tiara (let alone that one?) IIRC, her mother declined titles for her children. (Man, I'd be annoyed.)

The Princess Royal loaned a tiara to her daughter-in-law for her wedding so I'm sure Zara will be borrowing a tiara from her mother or her grandmother.

She doesn't strike me as a tiara-wearing woman though. But I don't think she'd wear one of the Queen's tiaras... The Princess Royal has her own tiara collection to choose from. When Peter Phillips married Autumn Kelly, Anne lent one of her tiaras to the bride, so I imagine she would do the same for her daughter.

If she were to wear one, I'd put money on the Greek Meander (http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y189/royal_forum/GreekMeanderTiara.jpg). It originally belonged to the Duke of Edinburgh's mother, Princess Alice of Battenberg, later Princess Andrew of Greece & Denmark. And out of all of Anne's tiaras, it suits Zara best.

Not only that, but I'd be surprised to see the Fringe on Kate and completely expect to see it on Zara. The Queen wore it for her Wedding, Anne wore it for her Wedding, so it follows that Zara as a direct female descendant would also wear it. Not to mention to keep up tradition. :)

Tomorrow on the Nate Berkus Show, it's going to focus completely on the Wedding and what to have and do to plan your Viewing Party.

Maybe they should peek in here first. ;)

Sorry for the double post, but this deserves it's own posting...

The Queen's first Great Grandchild was christened on the weekend.

The Daily Mail ~ One DOES have other family commitments, you know (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-1380619/Royal-Wedding-2011-Queen-Elizabeth-does-family-commitments.html)

Got to admit, I love the title for the article. :D

She's beautiful and everyone looks so happy in the picture. :)

That's funny, skaternum! But isn't it true that the Queen worked as a mechanic during WW2?

I know she was a memebr of the Girl Guide, maybe as a driver?

She was a member of the Women's Auxiliary Territorial Service where she trained as a mechanic and driver

I never heard that Princess Anne declined titles. I read somewhere that the titles of "Royal Highness" are restricted to those in the male line of succession ... so the children of the princes (Charles, Andrew and Edward) get titles, but the children of the princess do not.

And not any ordinary trees either, but Maples!!

Symbolic of Canada where their first official visit will be?

Love that lilacs will be part of it all, as that's my favorite flower period!!

In amongst all of the great news this has come to light today...

Yahoo ~ Royal guard cut from wedding after Kate complaints (http://royalwedding.yahoo.com/blogs/guard-cut-from-wedding-after-kate-complaints-6189?nc)

There will be one missing palace guard at the royal wedding. Scots Guardsman Cameron Reilly has been dismissed from duty during the event after he used Facebook to publicly complain that the bride-to-be snubbed him.

According to a fellow guard, "These stupid comments could not have come at a worse time for him. Serving at the royal wedding is a huge honor. He has been incredibly na´ve."

That's putting it mildly. Idiot!!

Thread drift happening at FSU? *GASP*!!! My Goodness...Thank you all so much to those who pointed that out to me. Since I've been a member for years now, I've never seen that before now.

I get it happens. I mean...No kidding around here. However, when that thread drift starts going in a direction of a topic that's a better fit for PI, I don't see why saying that is a bad thing.

I'm not surprised I got some snarky comments following that post of mine, as this is FSU. At least I tried.

Snark at FSU?
