Japan Nationals had a 40% share of TV audience. It's incredible how huge figure skating is there!:kickass:

Why doesn't the United States send their best skaters to Four Continents like Japan always does?

I think the top skaters are given the opportunity to attend 4CC. And I think most who are on their way to Worlds decline to go to 4CC since it is so close to Nationals. It's phycially demanding to do big comps back to back, especially when it involves travelling half way 'round the world.

That is what I thought Jammer, expect the US usually does since 2006 just not this last Olympic year. I failed to notice because our skaters... didn't place too well.

Huh? Didn't place too well? Adam Rippon won the men's event, Caroline Zhang came in 3rd behind Mao and Suzuki in the ladies, McLaughlin/Brubaker won the silver medal in pairs, and the Hubbells took the bronze in dance. No other country had as many medallists.

Maybe they're scared to for that same reason. :P;)

All kidding aside, it's probably because as peibeck said, the people going to Worlds probably want to get back to training at home base rather than prepare for another competition between Nationals and Worlds.

Um... Miki is leading the Japanese ladies team, not Mao.

Unfortunately, many persons seem not to be good at reorienting themselves psychologically to new situation in short time.

It may not be corrected as long as Miki Ando does not win the championship for two seasons running, in next Japan Nationals. LOL

Well, Miki won the Japanese national championship, but Mao is still the reigning world champion, so that probably counts for something. . .

exactly.. what is a national title compared to a world title.. besides mao has won 4 straight nationals.. and is the reigning 4cc champion is also mao!

and we all know that if mao is in form miki will be no competition, since her score at nationals were soo inflantet especially when it came to goe's and even with two perfect performances at nationals and very high pcs scores she barely edget mao who made few mistakes...

and there is no international judge who will give miki the scores she recieved at nationals... and the one who wrote that article knows that very well...
