I have never attended a wedding where there wasn't a break. How do couples get their pictures done? If the wedding is local, I just get my chores done (i.e. banking, grocery shopping, even work out, etc). Wearing a suit is no big deal to me.
If I have to travel, I am either with family or a relative of either the bride or groom will invite me along to some function. I generally prefer to explore the city. If there is a coffeeshop that is not a chain nearby, I am set for hours.
Granted, I don't have kids but I never heard anyone complain about it.
