I have that EXACT same problem too, Kim! I got my hair darkened when I was in the US earlier this year. It was supposed to be permanent and it looked really good. It didn't last :drama:

Rinse in cold or cool water, and if you can find a shampoo without phosphates (Burt's Bees, Wen), it helps the color last longer.

I'm in the hunt for a very specific shade of red. I'd describe it as a deep red(but not too dark) with blue undertones, sort of like the color of the meat but not with much brown in it as it would make it maroon, something like this (http://manikurshop.net/images/1307145568.jpg). Nasty description, but I've been looking for it for years with no luck :drama:

ETA Got Rouge Coco in Boy...well it was a gift as I couldn't afford to buy 29 Euros of basically a lip balm but I love it. Glosses are a bit not so professional IMO and lipsticks peel my lips or dry them so I usually take them off and reapply after 3 hours anyways. And I love the name they gave to the shade, very romantic :D

Nah, I love my hot showers too much

Meanwhile, I think I'm in love. I just found a cheap, local hairdresser who did a brilliant job. I walked in, didn't wait, and walked out with silky, silky hair. I might even trust him with some colouring in a month or so...

By the way, are there any naturally mid to dark blondes here who have gone darker? I really want a change and am thinking of going this colour (http://www.google.co.uk/search?rlz=1C1AVSX_enBE397GB416&q=rich+honey+casting+creme+gloss&um=1&ie=UTF-8&tbm=isch&source=og&sa=N&hl=en&tab=wi&biw=1280&bih=699) for winter. I just have a feeling that it'll turn out much darker than I expect and I don't know if I'm brave enough to try it, even on a semi-permanent basis.

I love it! My hair is dark blonde and now I kind of want to dye it that color

I really want to go dark purple, like an eggplant but maybe a little darker. I asked my hairdresser what he thought and he just stared at me and said "NO."
I'm pretty pale, I think it could work...hmph....

^ you could start with highlights, the eggplant over dark brown. My hairdresser uses a tint that comes in a tube to color the top strands of hair. Sounds divine!

Oh good idea! My hair is pretty curly though, so I hope they'd show up.

I do as well. Just don't stick your hair under the hot stuff. ;)

I'm mid-dark blonde, and I used to regularly go a colour close to that. Unless I went super dark (dark reddish brown or full-on brunette-- suits me nicely), the colour didn't tend to come out darker than I intended.

I made my b-day Sephora order. I worked on my shopping cart for a few days. :shuffle: My big splurge was another NARS blush (I already have Orgasm.) I went with Oasis, which is described as a pink champagne and seems a little warmer toned than most of my other blushes.

My order:
--NARS blush (Oasis)
--Clinique All About Eyes concealer
--Sephora Maniac long wearing lipstick (Shade 3--silver plum shimmer)
--Sample of Sephora Full Action Mascara

The free Sephora birthday gift this year is a 6 oz bottle of Philosophy body wash in Vanilla Cupcake. I'm sure it will smell divine!

I received this too. It wasn't bad... a little on the plastic-smelling side, but it was still nice. And I lurve the Philosophy products!

And the question of the week is: why doesn't Orgasm work for me?

(Only the blush, no problem elsewhere, yeah, TMI.)

I have golden skin that fades to sorta yellow in the winter, and I have yet to find a blush that looks natural. Orgasm is supposed to work for everyone and is too purple for me. Corals don't work either. :(

do you have oily skin? is it purple on top of your foundation or bare skin or both?

Orgasm too purple? Wow, it looks orange in the pan for me.

I don't think there's such a thing as a universally flattering blush or lipstick. People's skin tones are just too different.

I wear tons of purple makeup...but I'm very fair with rosy undertones and hazel (brown with green) eyes and blonde hair. I'm as "cool" as they make them!
