For those wondering, me thinks this bikini (http://www.brazilianbikinishop.com/en/brazilian-bikini-orchidia-3196.html?osCsid=9abd342710bd17437eccb5c48c015801) is a good compromise between showing a little more without giving it away :P

Nice! :grope:

There's always this (http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2011/06/12/article-2002719-0C76A64900000578-264_634x457.jpg) if you want to show a little more. :saint:

You'd probably get pixellated on American TV though. ;)

 who cares about getting pixelated, I'd have earned my own TV show :P
If you find me somebody looking like that guy, I promise to do my best this summer. :)

 Reminds me how in my freshman year in college a girl wore something like this to the pool (yes, we had an outdoor pool and jacuzzi in our dorm. This is California :P) I was in my room but the buzz of righteous indignation (from the women, guys didn't mind at all) was so loud, it brought me out on the balcony. I thought there was an accident and someone got hurt judging by the excitement but no, it was just a woman in a string bikini.

Same thing happened when another woman wore a bikini top to lecture. It gets super hot towards the end of the academic year so it was smart in that respect. But all the clucking it elicited from other women was funny.

Mila, if you've got the figure to wear that bikini :respec:

It's pretty and flattering, but not in a trampy way.

oooo, LOVE it! Ok, now I must work out constantly so I'll be able to wear one of those some day.

:shuffle:I'm no model heightwise, duh, wide shoulders, long bust, short legs, muscular thighs, firm but not prominent butt so that kind of bottoms actually flatter my figure more since they elongate the legs while creating an illusion I have buttocks:D I liked the name of the color, "old wine" is voidy.

In Brazil they didn't care much. Women of all ages and shapes wore string bikinis while toting their toddlers  Very liberating.

I'm ashamed to say that I have Diorshow Iconic mascara in my current collection and I'm not using it...it just doesn't do much for my lashes at all. :(

I'm still really into mineral makeup right now...I've been ordering from Everyday Minerals and Alima Pure. Alima is my newest discovery, I'm enjoying their eyeshadows. I think I've finally figured out how to apply loose shadows--a firm eyeshadow brush and sticky base (plus primer) is the best way for me. I still have a little bit of fallout, but I use a spare foundation brush to sweep it away.

ok, here a new one from me: waterproof makeup, specifically foundation, eye shadow, eye liner, and mascara. My family practically live in amusement parks/ water parks on weekends during summer and my current makeup is just not cutting it! I though the NYX Doll Eye waterproof mascara would do, it's fine with water splashes but NOT for swimming. Of course my aunt waits until the end of the day to take her pictures and let's just say I was a MESS! lol
Anyone have suggestions?

I've found that most Maybelline waterproof mascaras stay on like glue. I would be more wary about waterproof foundation and shadow...I think those would come off more easily than mascara and liner.

Maybe you should do a Google search on the makeup techniques of synchronized swimmers?

hah, I just did and looks like I might have to try out Make Up For Ever at Sephora. If not that maybe MAC's face and body foundation. Some online say Revlon's Colorstay foundation stays put so maybe I'll try that too. As long as I keep the receipt, right? :D

Our local synch swimmers use really cheapo make up. A lot of it (and it works) :D

In other news, I'm playing with my nail polishes instead of working on my graduation essay (due tomorrow).
Milani Jewels (Silver) = Disco ball nails!! I love it. I just don't know where I'll use it...

The makeup artist at my sister's wedding (on a deathly hot day in August) told us to lightly spray hairspray over our face to set makeup. Sounds ridiculous, but it worked! We used Tresemme, not sure what kind but it comes in the mini travel bottles.

I'm new to this thread (which is weird because I LURVE makeup and girly stuff :P) and I have to recommend the MAC Viva Glam that Lady Gaga did. I got the gloss and it's awesome. Neutral but still glamorous. :D

I also ordered some of the Wen "not" shampoo. I watched a presentation about it on QVC :shuffle: and one of the models had super fine hair like mine and it did wonders for her. I ordered it off eBay, though, because if you order from their site, it's autoship only and I'd like to know it works before I do that... Anyone tried it?
