On another note, I luuurve the Clinique color surge butter shine lipstick. I own one in Pink Toffee and think I'd like to buy more. So creamy. I also got another kind of their lipstick in Creamy Nude. I tend to wear nudes during the day and berry colors at night.
I love them too--I had Perfect Plum (which was a little on the brown side, but sheer), and I now have Raspberry Rush (a very pigmented pink) and Berry Blush (sheer and a little on the warm/peachy side.) I love the texture of these, and if you pair them with lipliner, they can last for a pretty long time.

Have you tried Chocolate Ice and Rum Kiss? http://shop.nordstrom.com/s/clinique-colour-surge-butter-shine-lipstick/2880344
They look like colors I might like and I love the texture of these.
I am also a fan of BeneFit lipsticks. I have their La La Land and Ladies' Choice. Also, Do Tell for the evening.

Clinique lipsticks are the only ones I don't mind shelling out for. It started with their Black Honey Almost Lipstick. I love it, but sometimes it doesn't wear well. I haven't tried their Butter Shine lipstick, but probably will next.
Has anyone tried Clinique's Chubby Stick lip balms yet? Those look like fun.

Their Black Honey is a best seller apparently but I never got its appeal. Their Butter Shine are terrific as well as their Long Last Soft Shine. It does last a long time, feels good and doesn't bleed. The Creamy Nude is a great nude for me for work/daytime.

Black Honey is a little too warm for me...I have it in the Superbalm, and I think that it wears a little bit longer than the Almost Lipstick.

I'm not sure I'll buy Black Honey again, but I really love the colour. The Butter Shine lipstick seems to be the same idea-- not so heavy, decent coverage, etc.
I forgot to mention earlier that Clinique's rinse off makeup remover is fantastic. I tried it when visiting my mom over the weekend, and was very impressed. I'm not sure if it would replace Sensibo for me, but when I can't find another large bottle of the Bioderma, I can probably switch to Clinique for the interim.

Stopped at ULTA today and picked up Kenra Platinum Blow Dry Spray. It (is supposed to) cut the time it takes to blow dry your hair. Normally, I'd ask for reviews before purchasing but read that it really does. I'll let you know!

I didn't make it over there today but I shall check tomorrow and see if there's anything I like. :D I will probably get a berry sort of color, I have too many pinks and neutrals.

I am impressed with the Kenra blow dry spray. It literally cut the drying time in half! The lead ULTA stylist/manager (who had THE most drop dead gorgeous hair) said that she used the product at home too. It is also a heat protectant and smoothing agent. Very happy (and am now a member of their buying club, watch out!) My 12yo had not been there and said, "Mom, this is like Bath and Bodyworks for hair and makeup!" ;)

Oooh, that spray sounds interesting. My hair takes FOREVER to blow dry.

Mine too, and it is thin...I'm sure with couponing you get the price lower (it was $19.00) which isn't bad. I've ignored the coupons that come in my paper from ULTA because I get my makeup from Amway/Quixtar and lovin the Everstrong L'oreal. But anything to cut down blow drying time is priceless!

There is an ULTA near the skating rink where we go, will check it out. Also I see it's available on amazon. Has anyone else tried any of their other products? I am not familiar with this brand.
Thanks for the tip, skatemommy! :)
I've never used any of Ulta's hair products or tools, but I have tried some of their cosmetics, and so far I've been happy with their eyeshadows and crayon liners.
The shadows are sold as individuals (though I think they have duos and quads available), and I've bought the singles of the colors that I go through quickly. The ones I've gotten include:
- matte cream,
- chocolate brown sheen (as opposed to a shimmer)
- forest green sheen
- plum sheen
While they're not on par with Lancôme's shadows, they're easily just as good if not better than those by Lauder and Clinique, but at a fraction of the cost. IIRC, they're about $6.00 each, but a lot of the time they'll have a "buy two, get one free" promo.
Ulta's line also has a great palette of shades for each color group, which is something I appreciate since they include warm, neutral, and cool tones for each color. Since they're not expensive, they're a good option if you're wanting to try a new color that's a departure from what you usually wear.
For their non-liquid liners, they have crayon liners in both the pencil/sharpener style or the ones that twist. While there are a variety of colors to choose from, the selection unfortunately isn't as vast as their shadows. I currently have one each of plum/prune, teal, charcoal, and coffee brown (note: those are the names - they're my description of the colors  .
I have found that while the colors are great and don't clump, they might have a tend to smear a bit at the outer or inner corner of the lower lid (usually if your eyes water or the skin in that area gets sweaty or oily). I tried applying a little bit of shadow primer with a fine brush under the lower lashes, and that remedied the problem.
From time to time (I think usually during Spring), they will do a Gift with Purchase just like department stores. The last one I got had a real cute canvas cosmetic zippered mini-duffle (lined with vinyl), a jigsaw bronzer compact, 4 brushes, a lipstick, a lip gloss, and a travel-sized mascara. Needless to say, it was a nice little bonus, considering all I purchased was a couple of eyeshadows, a concealer, and a small pot of Ulta eye-makeup remover pads :D>
No idea about if their foundations are any good, but their concealer was decent. I wasn't real keen on the mascara as it ran easily, but then again, I'm a Lancôme mascara whore  and have been spoiled by those.
This has nothing to do with cosmetics, but right after Xmas 2 years ago, I bought a couple of their scented soy candles (10oz in a glass), both of which were :swoon: .
