Exciting! I may have to make a trip to NYC to see her and Vishneva. Thanks for the heads up. :)

Just don't invite the dancers to the dinner, lest they become too hefty?

My advice is buy your ticket the day single tickets go on sale. Right now ABT has sent me a final notice to renew my subscription - the one I haven't had for 3 years. Earth to Box Office.

Thanks, I will do just that.

If I were going to take a stand like that, it would have been when he allowed Kistler, his wife, to dance long enough to make three decades and to be the last surviving Balanchine Ballerina.

It's lucky that Kistler survived at all, considering Martins smacked her around at home.

Well, she did have him tossed in jail once; maybe that brought him to his senses.

I always thought he'd be great for a dirty weekend in a hot sheets motel, but not anyone you would ever get serious about. I think Heather Watts may have learned that also, but when Martins threw her to the curb, she got Damian Woetzel as a husband, and I haven't heard anything disparaging about him, so maybe Watts got the happy ending in all of this.

I renewed my ABt subscription, but I always end up swapping most of the tickets (for maximum JMC viewing :D), and of course end up buying additional ones.

I hope that's the case, but it also could be that Kistler and the company were embarrassed by the publicity and Kistler just doesn't report the problem anymore.

I've always hoped her four older brothers made it clear that they'd do much worse to him if he ever laid a hand on her again, but that's probably a pipe dream.

I always wondered what a young hottie like Kistler saw in that crotchety dweeb.

I sat close to them couple of years ago when there was a visiting company. There's nothing crotchety about him, but there may be a picture of a very old man in a closet somewhere.

I'd describe him as unctuous.

He kind of looks like Dick Van Dyke in that photo.
