The Bolshoi Arabian is probably my favorite of any Arabian around. I love the imagery and the amount of control. The promenade with her standing on his leg is :respec:

Royal Ballet won this year. Bolshoi 2nd, followed by Berlin, Casse, and Bejart last.

Looks like the Hard Nut won 3 years running, in 07, 08, and 09, so I'm guessing it's been retired, at least temporarily, from the competition.

And yes it's the Arkhipova and Mukhamedov version for Bolshoi.

I think The Hard Nut is fabulous and I'm definitely not in tecnik when it comes to ballet, but I just love that version.

What I saw of the Royal Ballet version was nice, but I thought Bolshoi was better. Casse Noisette is fabulous in a way, but clowns with that permanent grin freak me out me.
