In the spirit of the holidays and pay-it-forward seasin as well, when you are mailing out your Christmas cards this year, can you send one to a recovering American soldier at Walter Reed Army Medical Center?
Address them to:
HOLIDAY MAIL FOR HEROES
P.O. BOX 5456
CAPITOL HEIGHTS, MD 20791-5456
You don't have to get all involved just sign your name and wish them a happy holiday season and say thank you for your service and get well soon.

Thanks for adding that info! I knew I was sending my bunch in one big envelope like they suggested.

Great idea! Does anyone know if there is a similar program for Canadian veterans?

And for those in Canada, you can leave a msg on the DND msg board or there are other instructions as well.
