:( I wanted Amanda to be there!

New group configuration:

1st group (19-24): Narita, Bell, Traunero, West, Zhou, Khazova
2nd group (13-18): Forte, Kawamura, Kahle, Musademba, Gilles, Bulanhagui
3rd group (7-12): Baga, Siraj, Lam, Gong, F. & C. Zhang
4th group (1-6): Zawadzki, Gao, Czisny, Flatt, Wagner, Nagasu

Lam and/or Siraj could sneak into the final group if Flatt's SP is not battle ready and/or Gao melts down. Another what-if factor - Will Czisny stay upright under pressure as GPF Champ?

Too bad Cesario and Dobbs withdrew. :( I was looking forward to seeing both.

Hoping everyone else stays injury-free.

The summer club competition was the Colorado Springs Invitational back in mid-September, and both reportedly landed 7 triples in their free skates according to SarahandDrew's tweets from the rink quoted below (detailed protocols were not available online, however). Zawadzki also skated a clean SP (3T+3T, 3Lz, 2A) there, scoring 62.45.

Agnes Zawadzki 187.01 (124.56 in FS):

Rachael Flatt 163.39 (117.21 in FS):

Thanks Sylvia!

I'm amazed at the repertoire of jumps both ladies have. We all know that Tom Z Skaters are known for their technique, but are quite boring. Last season I was a big complainer over Rachael's dull programs, but this season I am starting to take to her. Her and Agnes both.

Kiri Baga wrote on her facebook, that her ankles were still hurting and they decided not to go... :(

Will Baga's spot go to someone else then?

Oh no!!!! :(

Baga was byed to the championships so no one will replace her..this is a shame. 3 of my favorites are now out.

Nope, she had a bye.

:( Kiri is one of my sister's favorites, and I think she's so adorable. Why is every potential spoiler withdrawing?

1st group (19-23): Narita, Bell, Traunero, West, Zhou
2nd group (13-18): Khazova, Forte, Kawamura, Kahle, Musademba, Gilles
3rd group (7-12): Siraj, Lam, Gong, F. & C. Zhang, Bulanhagui
4th group (1-6): Zawadzki, Gao, Czisny, Flatt, Wagner, Nagasu

I moved up Mel B. I think she has the best chance of moving into group three. Second choice: Gilles.

:( soo many withdrawals, and so close to the event too! the penultimate group will be such a letdown now with Dobbs, Cesario, and Baga all out.

GAO FTW! :P

But this just leaves some room for excitement out of Lam, Gong and Siraj. Really, those are three performances for which I am VERY excited.

[Not that I'm not sad, since I adore Cesario, Baga and Dobbs, but I'm trying to see the upside.]

Another down. Sucks...but at least I'm glad the top contenders are still in it. They are what will make this event interesting for me.

Yeah, I say Vanessa Lam is the sleeper to watch.

Felicia Zhang has apparently withdrawn, too, though there isn't any official confirmation...yet.
