Diary post #47 on zenyatta.com has a very cute picture of two little boys visiting Z. One is kissing her (or maybe being kissed ) and the other is reaching in to pet her. Too cute!

NY Times article on Zenyatta here (http://www.nytimes.com/2011/01/14/sports/14horse.html?_r=1&ref=sports). With a link to gorgeous pictures (http://www.nytimes.com/slideshow/2011/01/13/sports/ZENYATTA.html). She really is beautiful.

Thank you for posting this! I love this picture:

I got a little teary eyed reading how happy she is, and I love listening to her squeal on the video on the site. May she live a long time, be healthy and happy, and produce little Z's who are as happy as she is.

and OT: Rachel Alexandra was bred last week to Curlin! Best of luck to her too.

Dear Rachel:

I finally had my date with Bernie. Boy, was he frisky! But a real gentleman and a looker too! A stud, if you know what I mean. I wouldn't mind seeing him again some time.

Other than that, I've been hanging out with some of the other gals. Some of them have a lot more experience in these matters than I do, so I am listening and making mental notes about future prospects.

How did your date with Curly go?

:lol: And also :lol: that they pulled her mane and polished her hooves for her "date."

I'm glad it went well, from all accounts.

Dear Zen,

Bernie sounds like a catch. I'm glad for you.

My date with Curly started out awkwardly. I let it slip that I'd won the Preakness too, and he started getting all uptight until he realized that his time was faster than mine. Thank goodness it didn't even occur to him to ask about any other races. I don't think he could have taken it if I'd told him about my time in the Woodward!

Fortunately, I was able to put him at ease by telling him that chestnut was my favorite color and praising his conformation. After that, things went pretty well. As to how well, I will leave that to your imagination.

Boy, that Curlin would definitely annoy me. Way too insecure. :P

:lol::lol: I met Curlin last year and he is actually very sure of himself. And beautiful. And friendly to the whole big group of us there to worship see him.

Well apparently, Curly has reason to be sure of himself: Rachel Alexandra in foal (http://sports.espn.go.com/sports/horse/news/story?id=6190129&campaign=rss&source=ESPNHeadlines)
