At this point I seriously think Disney needs to have it's own in-house rehab center. :shuffle:

If tabloid reports are to believed, Demi Lovato is a cocaine user, an alcoholic (http://www.salon.com/news/trending/2010/11/10/demi_lovato_alcohol_cocaine), and a cutter.

Meanwhile, Lindsay Lohan is attempting to get a "work pass" out of rehab (http://www.nydailynews.com/entertainment/movies/2010/11/11/2010-11-11_lindsay_lohan_seeks_work_pass_from_rehab_for_in ferno_a_linda_lovelace_story_dire.html).

Something seriously went wrong here. Demi Lovato just turned 18. It's good that her family/management got her in so soon, especially when they could have turned a blind eye and denied anything was wrong. Rehab isn't exactly going to help her marketability. I honestly expected Miley to be the first of this current Disney generation to go off the deep end, especially with all the drama surrounding her family now.

A co-worker of mine has come to believe that no child should ever be allowed to go into show business, ever, because of all the kids who've crashed and burned and been exploited by their parents and what not. He has a way of taking drastic stances on things, but sometimes I wonder if he might just have a point.

Ever heard of Ron Howard? Shirley Temple? There are probably more I could neam if you gave me time, but they never make the headlines.

Jodie Foster, Sarah Jessica Parker...

but makes you wonder, don't know the stats but does seem like a higher proportion than outside Hollywood end up with issues etc. Makes me wonder what parent would let their kids get into this in the first place, but I guess money wins out.

Isn't Demi also afflicted with an eating disorder?

I also heard that former ex-CSI: Miami star Gary Dourdan is heavily in debt as a result of his drug/alcohol problems. He has also gained a tremendous amount of weight and recently filed a domestic violence complaint against his live-in gf and mother of two if his kids.
