I think last season's LP suited Rachael much better than this.

I think this is a major improvement for Rachel in expression and her hair is MUCH more attractive. However, she has to stop doing that catch foot camel spin. Isn't there something she can do to get points with a different spin without subjecting the audience to that? She cannot achieve a pretty position, her back will never allow her to do it.

Love Flatts hair. Much more flattering. The donut spin is not her friend. If she had some speed she would be much better. Is there anyway a skater can learn to skate faster at this point?

I don't have a complaint with Rachael's hair or body. They're fine, but she has never worn flattering dresses. Ever. The color if fine (at least it's not pastel), but the style does her no favors. Her skating was fine. She's never going to be attention grabbing like Alissa or Mirai, but she's solid and could win at Worlds. I wouldn't count her out.

"Little" bit of a choppy landing???? I do love Tara as a commentator, who would have thought it? And having Terry back in the booth really makes this the beginning of the season, yeah!

Kanako's dress looks like 3 mashed into one.

Is this Mao's heir apparent?

Still, this dress and hairstyle are far superior to the hot mess she was sporting in her SP.

Murakami's costume is worthy of Tarasova. My eyes are bleeding! Great skating, though.

Agreed, and Michael Weiss isn't doing too badly either.

If Mao Asada is her idol, maybe that explains the dress.

ETA, too bad about the jumps because that is a nice program otherwise.

I disagree. Why must I be subjected to Tara. Once her Hollywood career went up in smoke she ran back to the skating world.

I actually find Michael Weiss' personal reflections illuminating. Also, I'm predisposed to think well of him, hearing what a great guy he is (from someone touring on SOI, and his scholarship foundation).
