I like the songs in semi #1 much better, and my favorites Hungary and Russia (and guilty pleasure Albania) qualified! :cheer:

Thanks for organizing as always, fred. :)

no, you're not...

No Poland!! and yes Albania and Armenia!!!???

though Azerbaijan (me) got into the final

thanks who voted for ´my´country

:D

I voted for your country :). but the other two starting with letter A - wtf?

I feel very robbed this year: half of my voting list did not go through (douze pointer included). and some of my favourites from semi 2 failed, as well... boo!

Ungrateful bastards! We give you our best entry since Edyta Gorniak and it didn't make it! :drama:

Shame Malta didn't make it either. :(

I voted for both of them! I'm stilled shocked that Norway and Finland made it. I guess I shouldn't have let the lack of singing ability for Norway affect me so much.

And only now I've noticed that Serbia wasn't in the final. Sacrilege!

Such a nice retro tune. Definitely better than Duffy anyhow. ;)

What can I say? We get it wrong at FSU every year with at least two songs from each semi. I think we had Switzerland (that happens every year  ) and Latvia  qualifying.

A documentary called "The Secret History of Eurovision" will be broadcast over the next week or so on a number of channels in Europe (and Australia). It was on Finnish TV tonight and Danish and Norwegian tomorrow. It's on Irish TV on Monday and on More4 in the UK on 7 May. :)

Of course.
I mean, he even breaks glass with his song.
I don't know if they are allowed to bring the glass to Germany. I mean, it's not exactly risk free. He got a piece of glass in his eye while performing after winning the national finale and was late for the winner's interview because he had to have a doctor look at the eye.

I missed the reveal of the finalists. Happy about the result from semi 1, though. :D

Thank you so much, Fred - you must be so swamped these days and still you do this for us!! :respec:

Dana International's official Ding Dong (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6fJzprA9e6U) video clip.
In the clip, Dana is shown in various phases of her life before (suitcases) and after.

Right, now that the season is officially finito, time to get into Eurovision mode again. And as such Turkey has voted! ;)

Some random comments:

I don't get the Swiss entry, how dare they enter a normal song that could actually be played on the radio? :drama: I preferred last year's 'Il pleut du fromage' ;)

All I have to say to Sweden's answer to Gareth Gates: you won't be popular with that, I promise!

Estonia is so bad it's good.

Lena was annoying enough the first time round, so do we really need to have her again? And didn't Nicole prove that winning it once doesn't mean you'll necessarily get the gold again? Still, as much as I hate to admit it, I kinda like the song. I wonder if the silver spermsuits will make it to the live set.

Denmark: Did Damon Albarn take on Danish citizenship for this? Anyway, he's still singing about girls and boys, so no news there

Gotta love Belarus. It worked, I'm brainwashed.

Even though I didn't like the Turkish entry to start with (Manga were much better), the song is growing on me.

Hungary and Ireland :cheer:

Poland :wuzrobbed
