Poland has also submitted the votes :).

btw, I've made a youtube research and many people love Kati Wolf :). I hope she sings it properly (well, in tune) live. otherwise I expect a disaster of a "What For' calibre...

I didn't believe the songs can possibly be worse than lst year. 4 songs into the competition, so far - :scream::scream::scream::scream:

I just listened Semi I :scream::yikes::scream: 5 songs of 19 were ok.
80īs or 90īs disco/dance junk plus some rap.

Where is the freshness?

(I am not old, just disapponted)

Iceland has just voted. By me. I have a flu and nothing else to do in a Saturday night.
Well, maybe 8 of the songs in semi one were ok...

Looking forward to the results, anyway.
And all the Eurovision Song Contest voids!
:cheer::cheer::cheer:

I would love to have a rainbow icon.

Yay. Got through my assigned Semi #1 today. :D

Here are video links (didn't see any in the thread yet) and some snarks:

Poland (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vkm6hCiuyXw): I expected Shania Twain to pop out somewhere in a leopard turtleneck catsuit. The male dancers are a bit skary.

Norway (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o7W-ko3Bbt8): catchy - not sure if the song/singing is strong enough, she is cute. Those white people on stage need dance lessons.

Albania (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=35yy7Ls3ptc):  PML at the video, it's like a Sarah Palin fever dream. I love Eurovision. Song is not too bad.

Armenia (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_OO7p_iKwAk): Looks like the whole budget went into pyrotechnics and confetti. Song is annoying.

Turkey (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0QUDFPmcWgw): Late 80s rock song. Is this a hair band or a bald band?

Serbia (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jC8hu_9lonw): I don't know what to say, a 60's kind of song. Like a trippy serbian old navy commercial. singing is good.

Russia (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rpiXxV3y8H0): Very 80s, but in a good way. Porny russian anthem. :grope:

Switzerland (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PtlhYGVtZlk): Nice song, pretty girl. Should do well.

Georgia (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LvnLWlHqMqM): Evanescence wannabe.

Finland (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h65xXOVrQzQ): If you litter, Mr. God will kill a plastic tree. Only Mr. God knows why. Did find myself humming along...

Malta (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SYQnPY0znPA): The singer reminds me of Justin from Ugly Betty. Song has a nice message but is generic.

San Marino (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Owh0pnNzh0Y): San Marino looks pretty. Not a fan of the song, though.

Croatia (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dtcsw6vLENg): She has a bubble gun, you better celebrate!

Iceland (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=foI2HlqsWQk): Sounds like a Burt Bacharach song. Not that there's anything wrong with that. ;)

Hungary (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wy_oB_FYd7s): Best of the dance songs in this semi. Dramatik :drama: running mascara.

Portugal (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gDBjUoty-zE)

Lithuania (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BWsuBnfYQBw): Weird see-through skirt.

Azerbaijan (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vvZlEAP5Z28): Are they related? They don't have much chemistry.

Greece (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jtaD4Ayt0kg): Thumbs up for Mr. tight jeans. :grope: Forgettable song.

I had no idea that Albanian eagles used that much hair dye, mascara and tooth whitening product.
I'd be scared to visit the castles, etc. with all of those freaky gold and illusion fabric eagles dropping down from the sky.

First time I've had time to listen to all of these! :cheer:

Why is she doing everything in her power to look like a copy of Lena? :scream: Also, she's singing playback on the video so I bet there's at least a 90% chance that she'll be terribly off-key live.

Final version of Dana International's Ding Dong (http://www.ynet.co.il/articles/0,7340,L-4049365,00.html)(audio only).
Scroll down and press on the play button.
She is also working on a video of that version.

Is it a music video or a tourism ad for Albania?
I think it's meant to have multiple levels :P
Aurela has actually a degree on Arts as an actor but with her pipes she switched to music and now she performs regularly on wedding parties of our diaspora in the area of NYC, so that you know. ;)

The media here are citing a German paper saying that Albania is in the top 5, which makes us uber excited. We take Eurovision seriously as passionate people that we are.

Ok, I was on the verge of withdrawing from representing Russia after listening to the Semi 1 pathetic songs  But I persevered and was duly rewarded. There is exactly 1 (ONE) song that I liked and I can't stop listening to it.
