it's so bad I like it :). so far the only song I could vote for (well, together with Yohanna's 'Nott' but it hasn't been chosen yet...)

As MikiAndofan said, Finland has its final today. I have not even heard the songs yet - I was abroad during most of the semis - and now our tv antenna is kaput:mad: But Ill try to post information and if possible, a link to the winner. Most of the artists are pretty unknown, so maybe it is again time for "Finland, zero points".:scream:

I really hope that doesn't win tonight. When that song is translated to English it'll send you all into sugar shock. Take her voice away and it's a very weak and lame song and the wrong song choice for her to make a second attempt with, could all end in tears the way it did with Selma. I guess the only thing she has over Selma is a better draw in the semi's but I'd prefer her second attempt at Eurovision be done with a more interesting song.

I HOPE they vote Magni through tonight. I don't think any of the songs are winners but it's a better song than Yohanna has and I'd like to see him give it a shot.

Or send the Volcano song along, will fit in with Jedward

I listened the Finnish candidates. I dont care who of these c##p songs will represent Finland. Not one really good song - one fine voice (Saara Aalto) and one cute ballad without any chance of making it out from the semis.

Finlande, 0 points again. At least I dont need to be nervous, like 2006.

LOL, it is current all right, and even has a hidden message in their performance.
Their hair-do can always be used as a promotion for... condoms :slinkaway ;)

 I had no idea Elisabeth Andreassen was in the running to represent Sweden at Eurovision. She'll participate in tonight's Melodifestivalen semi-final. :biggrinbo

Finland will be represented by Paradise Oskar with the song Da Da Dam (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BmEa6rkItGY). :)

Here is the link for the Finnish entry.

Sorry, I am so bad in posting links. But the cute ballad won. The singer-songwriter is called Paradise Oskar, he is a 19-year-old music student, and his real name is Axel Ehnstrm.

It is ok as ballads go, but I doubt it will succes in a show like Eurovision song contest.

And Elisabeth is out. Sanna Nielsen won the semi-final.

Well it won't be Johanna.

Magni came in second with the song g tri Betra Lf but the song going to Dusseldorf for Iceland is....

Aftur Heim (sung by the friends of Sjonni Brink). Sjonni Brink wrote the song and sang it in the early rounds. He died suddenly January. I think there is a lot of sympathy vote here and that Magni was perhaps "robbed" but I suppose it's as valid to send a song in memory of someone as anything else.

You can hear the song here:

Apparently the english text was done before he died.
