White Cheddar-Scallion-Rosemary Mashed Potatoes
Southern Buttermilk Cornbread

I really don't use recipes, I kind of just throw things into taste when I do savory food.
Turkey was simple. I sliced up the turkey breast into medallions/cutlets, it's just my mom, my bf, and myself so we just get the breast, not the whole bird, and put it in a bowl for with some whiskey (I wanted Bourbon but that was all we had, and they are pretty close). And then just put them in the pan with oil, I guess we sauteed more than pan fried, and just did some salt, pepper, and dried thyme.
The potatoes, we pretty much did the same thing, just quarter the potatoes and simmered, then mashed them down, added sour cream, and then grated white cheddar, chopped fresh rosemary, and scallions, plus salt and pepper, to taste until we were happy with it.
We put a lot of the white cheddar in the potatoes, probably half the block, HAHA. They were pretty awesome.
For the cornbread, I just used Cat Cora's Southern Cornbread recipe that's on the Food Network website.
