Gmar Hatima Tovah u-LeShana Tovah Tikatevu

Happy New Year, and may your name be written in the book of life.

The night leading up to Yom Kippur or all day during Yom Kippur. Not appropriate after sundown.

These are appropriate for leading up to and through Yom Kippur. Since the book of life is sealed at the end of Yom Kippur, you don’t want to use it afterwards.

I love this time of year. I am wandering in Los Angeles this season......going to a different Shul tomorrow. It always seems to me that the Rabbi's d'rash is directed to me specifically.

Well, since it's almost Yom Kippur (the Jewish Day of Atonement), G'mar Chatimah Tovah (May you be sealed for a good year) to all who observe it. Have an easy fast, everyone. :encore:
