View Full Version : Help! Need a catchy title

Lots of you know I'm a professional violinist, but I also work as a manager for opera singers. I'm going to a booking conference next week where I'll be marketing these singers. One is a mezzo-soprano who does an entire recital program of "pants roles," meaning that she portrays (and dresses as) male characters (this is very common in opera).

I'm trying to come up with a catchy title for this program. I've come up with "The Lady in Drag." Anyone have any other ideas? I need to get publicity info printed in two days. Thanks in advance!

She who wears the pants.

One leg at a time.

No suspenders needed.

Skirts be damned.

The Lady Is a Tramp comes to mind, but I'm not sure it quite fits.

I don't think you're going to get any better than this one. It's brilliant!

Thank you satellite girl, nomad, garden kitty, wylie fan, allezfred and rock2. All of your suggextions were wonderful and wayyyyyyyyy better than what I came up with! And the winner is...

"One Leg at a Time" by satellite girl! (I LOVED "pirate of men's pants," but was concerned that not everyone would get the "Pirates of Penzance" wordplay! But brilliant! I'm still laughing...)

Thanks again, everyone!
