Shows that now also look as if they could be cancelled: The Good Wife, Blue Bloods, Chase, and Lie to Me. But Lie to Me and Fringe could hold on, as they did last year, despite their low ratings, because FOX really has nothing to replace them with.

Crap, why is it all the shows I like end up cancelled. I love The Good Wife, and watched Blue Bloods with my mom last weekend.

BLUE BLOODS!!!! Say it isn't so! Another cancelled show for Wahlberg. :( Hopefully at least Hawaii 5-0 is going to make it!

WHAAAAAT?!?! How the hell can that be? That's the best drama on tv right now, and I thought it had a solid audience.

I like Blue Bloods ok, but am not surprised it's not doing that well.

Does anyone watch Chase?

Chase sucks IMO as well as Blue Bloods :)

Chase is unwatchable because the star can't act and is generally unappealing and wooden. meh.

I finally watched the first two episodes of Blue Bloods and I really liked it. That and Good Wife are my two fave shows. Oh, and Hawaii 5-0. ;)

My mom keeps telling me to watch Hawaii 5-0, but for some reason my antenna and the local CBS station do not like each other.

Maybe I'll get around to watching it online this weekend.

Count me as another one who watches the Good Wife. Now why would that one be cancelled??

I can see the one with Shatner, that sucks.

"The Good Wife" is CBS's lowest rated drama, other than those it runs on Fridays (and Fridays are expected to be low ratings.) The show does poorly in the key 18-49 demo.

Just as a comparison:

The Good Wife
- 11.815 million viewers
- 7.7/13 HH
- 2.5/7 A18-49

Glee
- 11.356 million viewers
- 6.7/10 HH
- 4.7/13 A18-49
- 5.2/15 A18-34
- 6.9/19 W18-34

It's not about the total viewership. It's about ratings within key demos, and so what you need to look at are not the "million viewers" line, but things like A18-49.

How different are these ratings from the ratings The Good Wife had last season?

I'd have to look up the ratings from last season, but I know that the show was considered a "bubble show" last year, and in danger of being canceled due to ratings. It was renewed instead, of course. And that kind of thing can happen.

With bubble shows, it can depend on how the show is doing within certain key demos, on whether or not the network has something to replace the show with, on how the show's competition is doing in that same time slot, on whether or not the network that's airing the show has a stake in the production, on how much the show costs per episode, and on how the show is doing relative to other, comparable shows (such as fellow dramas) on its network. It also depends on how CBS feels about things like critical acclaim (Emmys, for example) versus ratings.

Good Wife is in CSI NY's last season rating range. They didn't cancel NY, just moved it to Friday's... and I'm still keeping my fingers crossed for cancellation there. (don't ask :P)

I didn't know that Lie to Me was doing poorly. Thought it was rather successful. Apparently I just know all the people who are watching. ;)

Shows that now also look as if they could be cancelled: The Good Wife...

The Good Wife was the 10th most watched show for the week of October 4th to 10th:

It got better ratings than Grey's Anatomy, CSI, The Big Bang Theory, Desperate Housewives and Survivor. Should we expect all of these shows to be cancelled as well?

Plus The Good Wife's first season had Emmy nominates for best drama, best actress, two supporting actress nominations (with a win for Archie Panjabi), among other nominations. I can't imagine it is going ANYWHERE.

My sister-in-law told me I "had to watch" Raising Hope, and I am so glad I did!! It is hysterical and wacky. The pilot episode is being rerun tonight, so I get to see that (yeah!). Cloris Leachman's character is a hoot!

Raising Hope has received an order for its back nine episodes, so will have a full 22 this season.

Don't ask me how many of those shows I think should be cancelled.
