One person feels "my love has come along" but the other is like "shut up and let me go." So will Sinead be At last and John be "shut up" or will it be reverse. Or the both start loving but end hating or the reverse.

that's so Sinead and John, innovation first!! :D hats off for the idea of putting those two songs together. I'm not so crazy about the At Last thing, everytime I hear this song Dubreuil/Lauzon come to my mind and believe me, it's not a good assosiation for me :P but in connection with the other song, I think we can have a pretty interesting SD ;)

Wow, they really like Muse.

it's actually the same piece of music as last season (for ex), if I'm not wrong. Well, I usually don't like keeping anything for more than one season, but here I can make an exception ;)

From Pj Kwong's latest blog about Cynthia Phaneuf (http://apps.pjkwong.com/blog/?e=53484&d=08/29/2010&s=Catching%20up%20With%2E%2E%2E%2E%2ECynthia%20Pha neuf) (August 29, 2010):

Toni Braxton's Spanish Guitar is a pretty slow and mellow song. I went on youtube and heard a remix version of the song and it seems that this version is more in tune with Cynthia's upbeat style (for example with the exhibition pieces). Maybe it's a combination of the two where it starts off slow and then finishes fast.

Regardless, I am looking forward to seeing her programs, but more interested to see whether she actually lands the jumps on a consistent basis.

That's what I would love to know. I never thought about Etta James and The Ting Tings in the same program. I am excited about the Ting Tings section, actually.

And which one will be the Golden Waltz part?? I guess At Last is 6/8 time...? Although it seems more bluesy than waltzy. Don't know the other piece.

Either I'm really tired or At Last is 4/4. Same for the Ting Tings song. That combo is really intriguing to me. I don't think I'll completely get it until I see it. Also, aren't Tibbets/Brubaker skating to At Last?

;) if you listen to At Last again, you'll hear it has a 6/8 undercurrent thing going on..as many of the of the old R&B ballads did.. often it was picked out by the piano..Gee, I just don't have the musical terms, but..

Yup. At Last is in 6/8 (from what I can hear). Now, I'm no ballroom dancer, but musically I think 6/8 can be waltzed to, since it should be able to be counted in 3/4 time. I'm assuming that this is the portion of the SD that both Weaver/Poje and Kerr/Kerr will use for the Golden Waltz segment.
