ATENTION ISU - I have a new rule for you guys: tangos on ice for all categories will no longer be permitted! ;)

More about Weaver/Poje's 2010-11 programs from PJ Kwong:
http://apps.pjkwong.com/Blog/?e=53191&d=08/24/2010&s=Catching%20up%20With%2E%2E%2E%2E%2EKaitlyn%20Wea ver%20and%20Andrew%20Poje

For this year's Short Dance, they are using a combination of Etta James' At last and Frank Sinatra's cheek to cheek. It was only choreographed last month by Pasquale Camerlengo who is one their coaches along with wife Anjelika Krylova with Shae-Lynn Bourne continuing to be their base coach.

The Free Dance is set to music from The Moulin Rouge soundtrack and they both like it because they haven’t heard more then The Tango Roxanne selection used internationally by any other dance teams. Their goal was to try and balance their style with the rules requiring that the music be uplifting, have an audible beat, be danceable and have the program not be solely reliant on a story.

what worries me is that the 'uplifitng rule' seemingly is not applied, still many teams choose certains pieces b/e the music "has to be uplifting".
now I wish there would be a rebellious dance couple skating to RFAD/Schindler's List combo, with shotguns and all that stuff :EVILLE:

How will they do a waltz to two pieces that are in 4/4 or 2/4 time??? Inquiring minds want to know (but I realize I'll probably have to wait until October).
