I think it's an acoustic version by Tyler Hilton possibly mixed with some of the original by Kings of Leon (that's what I could gather from the music list on the ATS site and the clip I could hear being rehearsed on one of the Shall We Dance vids.)
I think that's right. The story appears to be that he is mourning a dead lover. (He begins the dance by placing flowers on the edge of the ice.) She appears to him as either a vision or an angel, all in white, with a white scarf, that they use to great effect. You can see their costumes in this pic (http://www.flickr.com/photos/quack99/5048422009/in/set-72157624964173849/). It's a melancholy, quiet dance that almost certainly would fail the ISU's "upbeat" requirement, but quite evocative.

I don't think we need a new sponsorship as much as some folks getting eye exams.

Tsk.tsk.tsk. Don't be an Uber. People have all the right to demand that these people starve themselves for our amusement. This is an aesthetic sport, and if some people's aesthetic sensibilities can only be satisfied by cows in drought, then it's their inalienable right to post about it.

Just watched S/Z's Turandot and WOW. I think I actually prefer this to the 2003 Worlds version. The use of the red banner was so creative, and I love the way Shen held it at the beginning, like a bride waiting to meet her soon to be husband. The only quibble I had was that the upside down lift they did near the end wasn't enough of a wow move to suit Pavarotti's climaxing.

I did like the choreography of this WWTLF better than the competitive version, but I didn't care much for the vocals. S & Z's ending poses were just divine, though. ;)

Just finished uploading my pictures from yesterday's show. It was such a great event...definitely one of the best non-competition events I've ever been to!

any videos from today? :)

Following the report, no Camera was seen around the venue from NBC or SBS, but fan cams may be accessible sooner or later. And it's not over yet.

ETA: Report reads "Long long SO to MK" and "Yu-Na just cleaned her Bulletproof again!"

Glad to hear that the show was successful. Maybe this may create a market for more shows that are like COI in style, a mix of past professional and current. Saw some videos S & Z are the most unbelievable pairs ever. Kawn and Yuna seemed to be on par, which scared me because Yuna seemed far from competitive form. I must say that Stephane is the most dynamic performer I have ever watched. It pained me to watch Johnny. I was one of his earliest fans. He looked out of shape, overweight, and like a skating has been....he just skated world class a few months ago??? What happened. I read the apology on Twitter, "hurt my hip" my heart broke. I guess his heart isn't in skating anymore. I want success for him but selfishly wish he trained and took skating a little more seriously. Look forward to seeing the NBC broadcast.

I'm sorry but I have to disagree. I've seen pics and vids and I can't understand how Weir can pass for anything even close to "overweight." What are you looking at??? The guy was practically a skeleton at the Olympics and has gained a few since he stopped the intense training. However if you see pics of him on the street and shirtless for his thousands of photoshoots you can still count his ribs and he's tiny as hell. I think the new PF costume makes him look bigger than he is. He's also got very muscular legs but he's nowhere near overweight. Really. And he's constantly tweeting about going skating. He DOES train. Why does hurting his hip and having an off performance night mean his "heart isn't in skating anymore?" How can you conclude that? Watch his performances in China only a few weeks ago. They were fast, every jump was a triple and he was on the money. Really, he had an off-night after an injury in practice. Give the guy a break. Other than the off-jump in Heartbroken his performance in that number was stunning. Skating has-been?

The second half was so epic! Did my eyes deceive me or did Stephane do a quad during William Tell? His face was completely :D :D :D afterwards haha. Talk about being on - both his numbers were so exuberant.

I also really loved Patrick's Coldplay program. When he really gets going, it looks like he's flying. It's a real treat to watch.

Michelle's first program was mleh but Winter Song was vintage Michelle we all love. It was great to see her back. Yuna's first program was lovely too.

Dinner's here so that will have to do for now
