I just can't believe Kwan got in such great shape for this show. This is truly the best I've seen her in years. She was performing like the "classic Kwan" and I can't stop watching her performances. Thanks for uploading the videos.

Was B/A's second number not shown on TV? That's the one I really wanted to see since it's new.

I'm wondering about their second number too. I noted in the list of programs, that they are skating to "Use Somebody". I'm assuming its the whiny Kings of Leon song... :scream:

I think it's an acoustic version by Tyler Hilton possibly mixed with some of the original by Kings of Leon (that's what I could gather from the music list on the ATS site and the clip I could hear being rehearsed on one of the Shall We Dance vids.)

I can understand your sentiments about ice dancing (for a long time, I thought it was boring, OTT and trashy) and not liking V/M. However, as a dancer, I disagree with the comment that they don't put in as much effort/ practice or aren't as athletic.

Dancing looks deceptively easy. In reality, it demands a lot of fitness, practice and effort to look so polished. Please refrain from putting down dancers. It's difficult, just in a different sense compared to singles and pairs.

Runnershigh, THANK YOU!!!! :respec:

This! I just started dance recently, and man, are you out of breath or what and I've only been doing CD patterns. It is so difficult and so rewarding when you do it right and man, it takes forever. It looks so effortless but I think it's harder than singles (and I am a terrible jumper).

I wonder if the way they set things up would be used for SOI. Probably not, considering the expense, but I hope they get some production ideas. NO MORE GFBS!

The number with the guys was so funny. They looked like they had no idea what they were supposed to be doing.

Guys numbers tend to be like that ;) One of the earlier boys numbers. LOL

Glad to hear that the show was successful. Maybe this may create a market for more shows that are like COI in style, a mix of past professional and current. Saw some videos S & Z are the most unbelievable pairs ever. Kawn and Yuna seemed to be on par, which scared me because Yuna seemed far from competitive form. I must say that Stephane is the most dynamic performer I have ever watched. It pained me to watch Johnny. I was one of his earliest fans. He looked out of shape, overweight, and like a skating has been....he just skated world class a few months ago??? What happened. I read the apology on Twitter, "hurt my hip" my heart broke. I guess his heart isn't in skating anymore. I want success for him but selfishly wish he trained and took skating a little more seriously. Look forward to seeing the NBC broadcast.

Just finished uploading my pictures from yesterday's show. It was such a great event...definitely one of the best non-competition events I've ever been to!

From "chunky" Kwan to "overweight" Weir, I am not sure whether this show should have been sponsored by Jenny Craig or this thread should be sponsored by the Pro Ana society...

I don't think we need a new sponsorship as much as some folks getting eye exams.
