View Full Version : Favourite PIXAR Movie
08-04-2010, 09:08 PM
I was reading Entertainment Weekly at the gym and saw that when reviewing Toy Story 3, the EW movie critics listed in order their favourite PIXAR films. So I thought we should do our own ranking!
Will Buzz and Woody take the crown??? Will Cars or Ratatouille make the podium, even though I could barely make my way through either of them? Vote peoples, vote! (It's a multiple choice poll, so you can vote for one or all.) :)

I think Toy Story 3, Up & Finding Nemo are my top 3 - not sure in which order, though!

Finding Nemo! I loved that movie!

Finding Nemo, love that movie.

Nemo hands down
 - it has to be heard for the whole effect..
Dory: [about the humpback whale] Maybe he only speaks whale.
[slowly and deeply, imitating the whale]
Dory: Mooo... Weeee neeeed...
Dory: ...tooo fiiind hiiis sooon.
Marlin: What are you doing? Are you sure you speak whale?
Dory: Caaaan yoooou giive uuuus direeeeectioooons?
Marlin: Dory! Heaven knows what you're saying! See, he's swimming away.
Dory: Cooome baaaaack.
Marlin: He's not coming back. You offended him.
Dory: Maybe a different dialect. Mmmmoooooowaaaaah...
Marlin: Dory! This is not whale. You're speaking like, upset stomach.
Dory: Maybe I should try humpback.
Marlin: No, don't try humpback.
Dory: Woooooo! Woooooo!
Marlin: Okay, now you really do sound sick.
Dory: Maybe louder. Rah! Rah!
Marlin: Don't do that!
Dory: Too much orca. Did it sound a little orca-ish to you?
Marlin: It doesn't sound orca. It sounds like nothing I've ever heard!

I've only seen Nemo, Cars, Toy story 1 &2 and Wall-E.
They were all delightful though.

I've enjoyed all of them, but I like Wall-E and Finding Nemo the best.

I like the ones I've seen (all but Cars, Bug's Life, and the last two Toy Story movies) but I hate how so many of them make me cry. I'm such an awful wuss. :wuzrobbed

But Monsters, Inc. also makes me cry every time.
Up was wonderful but the first 10 minutes were so epically amazingly the best thing ever that the rest of the film felt like a let down.

Nemo and Toy Story are my favorites. The only one I've really disliked was The Incredibles.

Cars (but given I'm typing this as I watch Top Gear I may be more in the target audience than most people around here--the Michael Schumacher Ferrari, tee-hee), The Incredibles (superhero in-jokes! "WOMAN! WHERE DID YOU PUT MY SUPERHERO SUIT?!?") And "Up" really deserved Best Picture, not just Best Animated. They're my favorites, though really the only one I didn't especially enjoy was Ratatouille. And even then the short film on the history of rats was amusing.

I've only seen Wall-E, all the Toy Stories, and Up, but of those, I liked Up the best. Actually paid twice to see it! The second time with a friend who had never been to a movie theatre before in her life. So I figured Up was a good initiation, moreso than the shoot-em up other movies playing at the time.

The Incredibles is my favorite, although Finding Nemo is a close second. I loved the first half of Wall-E but the third act feels completely different tonally.
The best scene ever:
"You tell me where my suit is, woman! We are talking about the greater good!"
"Greater good? I am your WIFE! I am the greatest good you're ever gonna get!"

Up was my pick but I also loved Finding Nemo. That was a really tough pick. I would probably say they are tied.
