At the last election, Bennelong (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Division_of_Bennelong), held by then-PM John Howard (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Howard), turned over to ALP and Maxine McKew (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maxine_McKew) for the first time since its 1949 creation. Howard and McKew are only the 2nd and 3rd people to have held the seat.

Now, Bennelong is very much a bellwether seat and the Liberals are running a star candidate, John Alexander (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Alexander_(tennis)).

What will be the result of the Bennelong House seat after the Australian federal election to be held 21 August 2010? We will use Australian Electoral Commission results, which may not be finalized for weeks after the election.
