I've seen him in person, and he is quite . Very untiffed, and very wrinkly. I don't know what they do to get him to look as good as he does on PR, but it's a dagum miracle.

I agree, I had seen him in person before PR started and I thought, okay, I guess he's lost weight or something. Then I happened to see him in person again about 6 months ago and he just did not look anything like he looks on PR to me.

. I am a bit surprised that so many of the designers weren't sure about what resort wear is.

I'm not sure I really know what resort wear is, and I don't think many designers aspire to doing a resort wear line besides Michael Kors, whose demographic seems very much to be the Ladies Who Lunch set.

"Resort wear" is a very 80s concept. Like, Molly Ringwald's rich blonde nemises Miffy would have a resort-wear rack in her remote-controlled closet. When was the last time your heard anyone say, I'm going to summer at Club Med this year--can't wait to show-off my Member's Only cover-up!

It may be an 80s concept, but the reality is that most major designers show a resort line April/May. To be honest, that's a recent event. Kors was one of the forerunners, but he's certainly not alone in it.

Ah. I guess it hasn't had time to re-trickle down to the little people yet.

Just some random musings on my end:
Mondo & Michael C being new BFFs was awesome. The arm in arm was the icing on the cake.

Ivy Higa is one crazy mofo summab*tch. What kind of accent does she have? And where does it come from? Imagine being in a room full of people that talk like her....

***shrudders***

Too bad Peach wasn't there to see April win the challenge.

I really miss Veronica Mars. Kristen Bell is hot.

Ivy sounds totally Hawaiian Japanese to me- she talks EXACTLY like some of those girls I grew up with talk like. I don't know where she grew up but I would guess Hawaii for sure. Her bio here says:

"Ivy Higa

Age: 30
Birthplace/Hometown: Seoul, South Korea, Kaihula-Kona, Hawaii
Current Home: New York, NY"

So she at least has some Hawaii connection....

She said she's of Korean ancestry, but I'd also guess California. Does it matter? Bitch sounds like Bitch no matter where it's from.

Tim's V-log on Facebook is very interesting on this episode. He bitched about having to sail around for 3 hours on a hot day with no breeze, and it ended up being about a minute of footage.

He also said the original idea behind the challenge was that the designers would be put in teams of 2 and keep switching back and forth between each other's design every hour. Tim felt this was ridiculous and too much like a game show. So he appealed to them to change the challenge to something that a real designer might face.

Then on the day of the runway show, he found out that one of the producers had gone in the night before and told the designers that they'd have that next morning (about 2 1/2 hours) to go back to their original design. Tim again argued with them that it would be a bad idea because that would give the designers too much time to undo what the others designers did, making the judging of who did what impossible.

I love that he gives all the behind the scenes details!

The original idea sounded horrible; I'm so glad that Tim changed it!

I'm assuming that he didn't think Casanova should go home when he briefly mentioned crack smoking judges?

Now, now, Tim is not supposed to mention crack smoking judges anymore. ;)

I think I'm the only one that hates Michael C. He just reeks faaaaaaaaaaaaakeness to me whenever he talks and sounds disingenuous.

Not fond of Ivy neither.

Wait, which one is Michael C.? He's not the one they hate is he?

Michael D wears the ugly do rag. Michael C is the whiny one.

I wish Michael D would stop with the Aunt Jemima kerchief. It looks ridiculous.
