was Andy the purple one? I thought the fabric looked cheap and the design would not support boobs ::flees angry mob::

Mondo's was Wal-Mart JUNIORS separates. I would have kept him over Ivy, though, because at least he used colors other than "funereal black" and "beigey gray."

PD--I had the same thought, as this is at least the second time (the other being Peach's polka-dot babydoll) where they've called something "Grandmotherly" or "what a seventy-year-old would wear" and I look at it and think "Maybe if she's seventy and has the money for LOTS of surgery, a private trainer, and botox." But as you say I think that must be the only kind of seventy-year-old they've ever seen.

Which only makes the contrast with Austin and Santino more so, as they seem to genuinely love making these ordinary women feel fantastic (especially stark contrast as the lady last night was sixty-something and they went for a rather classically Austin Scarlet style gown that looked STUNNING on her.) I don't think the judges' take on "ordinary", "youthful", "matronly", etc. are in line with any everyday person's.

In my skinny days, I would have worn April's or Michael D's. I never would have worn Andy's, but I think it looked the best made.

What's wrong with some clothes for Grandma? Does everything have to show your midriff and half your arse?

See, I would only wear April's for...uh, private intimate purposes, and would never wear Michael D's without radical reworking of the top, but if I had the body or the cut of the suit legs were modified to suit my hips I would be all over Andy's.

Ivy's tent-on-tent look should have got her sent home. Stripping away every bit of detail/visual interest was incredibly stupid of her. Her original sketch showed some kind of ruffle on the top, but apparently she didn't trust Michael to execute it. Gretchen's Team Luxe jumper was fugly. Seriously fugly. I would have had that in the bottom three rather than Casanova's. That shade of red made the outfit look too heavy for resort wear. Valerie's pieces didn't seem to go together. A different print or a different vest, but not the those two together. Andy's was the clear winner for me.

Poor Casanova, dissed for mentioning his grandma...who I am sure is a stylish lady.

I'm going to miss his malapropisms and hit or miss styles.

I'm going to miss Heidi saying "CAH-sa-NOOOO-va" and she probably will too. I thought Ivy's should have been aufed; it was just plain boring. Casanova's top was interesting; the overall look could have been youthened up by swapping the (somewhat dull) pants out for some shorts or a short skirt. I am a bit surprised that so many of the designers weren't sure about what resort wear is.

I was rooting for Andy's; I loved the flow and ease of the garment. April's didn't really scream "resort" to me.....complex black outfits resembling lingerie aren't exactly vacation clothes.

Most of them are too young to have been to a resort; or to know about the era when going to them was usual for the "well-to-do"!

I've seen him in person, and he is quite . Very untiffed, and very wrinkly. I don't know what they do to get him to look as good as he does on PR, but it's a dagum miracle.
