poths, the 6.62 by Pusterla was the longest mark at the European championships ever not to qualify for the final.

Perkovic made it because Group B were crap! :cheer2:

live stream of the championships (watching it at the moment) here:

Just scroll to the link below. don't know which british channel it is, though...

Gutted for the lad from Gibraltar, DQed from the 100m heats due to a false start. Even more gutted when I read this about him:

Yet although the 100m sprinter is entered alongside the likes of Great Britain’s World Indoor 60m champion Dwain Chambers and French sprint sensation Christophe Lemaitre, his background is more akin to the amateur past of a bygone era rather than that of the ultra-professional modern athlete.

This is because in the countdown to the championships the 26-year-old Carroll has been working seven days a week to make ends meet. On weekdays he is a trainee draughtsman and to top up his modest income he has been working nearly 11-hours a day each Saturday and Sunday at a petrol station.

Forth. :drama: :fragile:
Has he been hanging out with Tarasova? Training in Russia perhaps?

:mitchell: I refuse to believe Ostapchuk is female. Her face is a 100% replica of Max Shabalin.

Christophe, bum fluff above your lip is not a good look. :yikes:

BBC being :EVILLE: by subjecting him to torture via Phil Jones interview.

Am I the only one who thought the only athlete from Gibraltar getting disqualified for a false start was  ? He'll be getting the bus back home I'd say. :P

Wheee for GB going 1-2 in 10,000m. Shocking to think that they won no individual gold medals four years ago and had to wait till the last day and the 4x100 guys to get any gold at all.

I'm going to have nightmares about the shotput women tonight. :scream:

Mr. Carolina Kostner is in the lead and all I'll say is that I can easily see a big part of what she sees in him.

pic? please :)

I had a look, but couldn't find anything definitive. ;)

The guy's name is Alex Schwazer. The current Italian uniform is all white and the walkers sweat a lot and pour water over themselves. You can guess the effects.
