If they send Billy home just because he's a boy and was bottom 3 last week too, I may be done with this season. If Alex can't win, I want it to be Billy.

OH HELL, Alex's tendon is lacerated and separated from the bone. He's done.

So- please DanceGods -let the show run a few more season, because Nigel just invited him to compete in the next season. I wish they'd rerun his dance with Twitch.

My heart breaks for Alex. I hope his surgery goes well and he bounces back stronger than ever.

Cut the hyperbole. I love Alex. But nothing that happens on So You Think You Can Dance will make a mark on the world that will never be forgotten.

I hope SYTYCD and the Miami Ballet can provide Alex with the best medical care available. We've seen athletes come back from worse - I have faith he can do it.

Well, nothing else could be done. This is a huge injury. Poor Alex. :(

My interest in the show has taken a real dip.

I feel glum. :( Kent in tears. Were they a couple?

His health coverage is via his union. But I'd imagine he's been hooked up with a very good surgeon.

Was there ever a dancer who was so universally liked or had such a groundswell of support?

I hope he heals quickly. I think we all suspected he'd be leaving, still, what a bummer!

This is the same injury Hongbo Zhao had. That kept him out for some time, and he skated with a modified boot when he came back.

I know that this type of injury can cause athletes to retire. I'm hoping that Alex recovers well from the surgery, and is able to rehab well. But this can be a career-ending injury. Let's hope for the best for him.
