As long as Sharapova doesn't win it all I'll be happy......I'm using her today in suicide tennis! ;)

Actually after 5 days I'm amazed I'm still in both suicide pools. Gasquet is my pick for today in mens. Go Richie!:cheer:

And Jankovic is out, losing to Kanepi in the 2nd set TB.

It's windy in NYC today, but no humidity. Absolutely gorgeous sunny weather! :cheer2:

And out goes Jankovic! oleada you jinxed her.

Not a big surprise really. JJ has always been a headcase and Kanepi is a solid player. She should have made the semi's at wimbledon this year (blew 5 match pts in her QF to Kvitova).

Kudos to Tipsarevic for playing a good 2nd set tiebreaker to stay in the match against Monfils despite an injured left hamstring!

Watching CBS today reminds me how much I can't stand Dick Enberg. His comments are out of the 1950s.

Was there last night. Venus match was . Her dress was quite something, looked like she should have had skates on.

Nadal/Istomin was pretty amazing. Istomin really gave Nadal a work out. Though Nadal won 3 straight games, they were hard fought for.

All I can think of when I hear him now is him not letting del Potro talk in Spanish. Grrr...

I fully expected JJ to lose today, hence my

Goooo Maria, Elena or Kim! :cheer2:

Mardy Fish's good streak continues. If he plays Djokovic in the rd of 16 that should be an interesting battle.

Boo hiss to the USTA scheduling committee. All those good mens matches tomorrow and they put 2 ladies matches on Arthur Ashe. They've been doing that for the last few years now and it really pisses me off. :(:(:( If they're so scared the mens matches might run long why don't they at least try it out first?

Me too, and a year later, I'm still mad about it.

Go Novak!!!! :cheer2:

You know the wind must be really strong when Novak's hair begins to actually move!

Djokovic's father is wearing a shirt with Novak's face on it.

Good God.
