Gee, and to think I really liked Na Li's chances to win the tournament!!:eek: So much for that thought.

Tough day for the Serbs out there. They had to earn their paychecks.

With Sharapova's match just starting I wonder how many people will be left in the stadium to watch Wozniacki play?

Loving the dual coverage between ESPN2 and the tennis channel this year.

Oleada, have a great time at the tennis tomorrow. I'm sure you're gonna love it.

Make sure you don't overdress. If its 95 and sunny that means at the tennis it will be about 110F cause you're surrounded by cement and aluminum. T-shirt and shorts for sure.

Also pack the sunscreen, lots of water and a hat!!!

By the way, anyone with DirectTV gets free use of the tennis channel through Sep 5th! The timing is perfect since they will be showing tons of the Open. During Wimbledon I was able to use some kind of channel they had set up that allowed me to chose which court I wanted to watch! It was AWESOME! I don't know if they are doing that again for the US Open or if you need to pay this time.

I have had NO luck finding tennis on tonight. Where is it???? My DirectTV tennis feature is not working, it tells me to tune in starting Aug 30th. Yeah, ummm, that was yesterday. So I take back my bragging about DirectTV! The tennis channel begins coverage again in a few minutes back dang, how late do they play?

...how late do they play?

Until they all drop. ;)

If you're in the US, USOpen.org should be streaming live.

Li Na is impressive in her own way but I would be stunned if she ever won a slam. She is just too one dimensional and inconsistent. All she does is pound-pound-pound and makes quite a few unforced errors in all her matches. Her dangerous and lethal shotmaking still win her many matches and mantain a fairly high ranking but winning 7 rounds even in a Serena-less slam? Doubtful at best.
