Sharapova beats Kuznetsova in three sets; wonder if she's finally getting back to near her best? I didn't see the match or know the stats, so I'm just guessing here

Oudin loses again and moans again. She says she feels expectation to win, not only every match, but every tournament, she plays. Deary me.

She's never won one tournament, now she's supposed to win all of them? Okay.
She hit only one winner yesterday.

^I know she's young, but I think someone needs to have a word. She's making a bit of a mockery of herself lately, and not exactly winning fans either. The USO might be a difficult experience for her - that is if she carries on this form. I still think she slightly "over-achieved" last year - not saying she didn't deserve her successes, because if you fight like that and win in such a manner you deserve to win - I just think it gave an unrealistic impression of her game and her potential.

I am amazed she would say she thinks people expect her to win every tournament. The poor girl needs a reality check.

Puppy Mathieu is a VERY lucky loser. From a bad choke in qualis to going straight to R2 of the MD in Toronto. I think he'll need one of his racquets replaced after he beat the crap out of one after he had lost on Sunday.

Such an exciting day! I basically want t watch every match in every time slot. Will need to multi task BIG TIME.

I want to go to the Rogers Cup as I have never been before because either a) none of my friends can get time off and/or b) they don't like tennis.

Mental note - must find new friends who like tennis.

I'm thinking about doing the matinee session tomorrow because I found an online code for 50% off.

Megi, I wanted to post the article here, but not sure if you'd approve. :) Wheeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!

I'll be in Canada this time next year; let's go to the Rogers Cup! Whee!

Dementieva gets HAMMERED by Pavyluchenkova, 6-1 6-3...hmm.... is Nastya finally starting to push through - and is Lena on her way out?!

Clijsters beats Safina 7-5 6-2; at this tournament last year, Dinara beat Kim by the very same scoreline. At the time she was no.1 in the world; now she's no.70. What a difference a year makes.

Article? I'm sure I would.

Are you coming today? Want to meet up?

Loves_Shizuka - I'm going to Montreal next year and it's the same week as the women's tourney in TO last year. Two years from now, I can host a FSU camp at my condo, whee!

Now for yesterday - the heat during Djoko vs Benneteau almost killed me, and I was only sitting there watching. Not surprised they're both about to collapse by the end of it. I gave in and ended up watching the second set on TV in the cafeteria.

Enjoyed seeing Bennet again later, with Llodra, and kicking Paes' arse in doubles.

Never made it to Nadal's match as I opted to watch PHM lose for the second time in one tournament, this time to lu. :wall: Mathieu is almost like a tennis textbook in motion - perfect technique. But man, what a massive headcase. :duh:

I want to go to the US Open this year, but it's not happening - my schedule is too packed that week. But I'm going next year :)

I can't imagine being outside in the heat in Cinci & Toronto - no idea how the players are doing it. No wonder some are having a hard time.

Nestor & Zimonjic are out of the former's home tourny :( Cermak & Mertinak take the quarters in 6/3 7/6(5)

:wuzrobbed but at least now I can shamelessly root for Benneteau and Llodra in the semis. :grope:

Rafa down a break already :watch:

Wondering if Ivanovic is actually coming back or if this is another fluke like Rome followed my more months of mediocre results?

Kohli takes the 1st set 5-2.

But yeah, Rafa up an early break in the 2nd.
