Here is an article on the Japanese born North Korean striker Jong Tae Se. It may help to explain how come he ended up representing North Korea. Very interesting article.

I can't remember whether this was posted or not, apologies if it has.
But this is a parrot imitating the vuvuzela sound... I'd be thrilled to have him :P

Cristiano Ronaldo last night sparked more rumours he plays for the other side by partying with gay pop star Lance Bass.

I had seen this yesterday or the day before... I don't know if the events are connected but if they aren't he must be pulling a tremendous joke on football fans. On the other hand if he does play for the other team I really hope that he has the balls to come forward with it, it won't hinder his ability to score anyway. Has there ever been a high profile gay footballer? I don't recall any...

^^ Lance Bass isn't even that cute. Why of why couldn't I have been a boy band singer/dancer back in the 90s? :P

North Korean soccer team forced into six-hour long public inquisition after losing at World Cup (http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/more_sports/2010/07/30/2010-07-30_north_korean_soccer_team_forced_into_sixhour_lo ng_public_inquisition_after_losin.html)

Radio Free Asia is reporting that the team faced a six-hour-long public shaming from the country's sports minister.

The players were reportedly forced in front of 400 people at the Working People's Culture Palace in Pyongyang, were they were criticized for failing in their "ideological struggle" to win in South Africa. North Korea opened the tournament by showing promise in a surprisingly close 2-1 loss to Brazil but was destroyed in its final two matches, losing 7-0 to Portugal and 3-0 to Ivory Coast.

RFA says each player was individually called out for his failings during the World Cup. Each then was forced to criticize his head coach, Kim Jong Hun.

FIFA is apparently looking into the reports. The North Korean government's actions could lead to expulsion by FIFA.

That is terrible. If proven to be true then the North Korean federation should be punished.

Disheartening to say the least. Especially seeing one Korean player crying during the anthem and knowing what playing at the World Cup meant to him.

Makes me sick to my stomach reading this.

Disheartening to say the least. Especially seeing one Korean player crying during the anthem and knowing what playing at the World Cup meant to him.

Japan-based players Jong Tae Se and An Yong Hak were exempted from the meeting, RFA said. [Espn (http://espn.go.com/sports/soccer/news/_/id/5424626/north-korea-world-cup-team-shamed-public?campaign=rss&source=ESPNHeadlines)]
Jong Tae Se was the one that cried during the anthem. Jong and An flew straight back to Japan from Seoul.

That Lionel Messi look a like is spot on and even has terrible hair if not exactly the same do.

Too bad for Roger Federer, both pics are really unflattering.
