As Paul predicted - why even try, (dirty) Holland? - Spain made it, and deservedly so! :respec: :cheer: It took a lil' longer, but now they're are absolute great and worthy World Champions!!! :cheer2:

And see, at least it took the coming World Champions to blow our German boys away ... btw. Thomas Müller just "won" the "Golden Shoe" ...

Wheeee, greetings and congrats to Sweetsparky, too, she must be celebrating like crazy now .... :cheer2:

Thomas Müller is now the person with the most goals the commentator says (or at least after tiebreakers?)

Yes, after tiebreakers. He's tied with Snyder and Villa but as Buzz stated correctly, has the most assists. Germany also scored the most. 16 times!! Spain 8. Does make you cry and wonder why it doesn't get rewarded to be the best team of the World Cup :( Life sucks :P

But boy, that was a game. I'm glad someone somewhere showed mercy and ended that without a penalty shoot out and I'm just glad the German players opted not to watch on their flight home. They would have been devastated to see that and know how easily they could have beaten the Netherlands ;)

Spain is only the 2nd double Euro and World champ ever. Germany is the other. :)

When the Spaniards unite and decide to play as one country they win both Euros and the World Cup!!! Congratulations! :cheer2:

Sidenote: New Zealand is the only team who did not lose any of their matches during this World Cup. :lol

Wish Muller could have been in that game, because maybe, he would have made a difference even though Spain completely out played Germany. But happy for Spain though its totally their turn. Ridiculous that the winner of the Goldenboot isn't nominated for one of the best players. Although Villa deserves to win.

can anybody explain to me like a team as dirty as holland , cant to come to the final?
I am glad that Spain win and not only because I am Spanish but because there is justice. How is it possible to play to injure on the contrary and not to score goals?

PS: Although I believe thatthe umpire is the only guilty by allowing so many aggressions.

Irish TV picked out 9 really brutal tackles made by the Dutch team. Nasty nasty stuff. :blah:

My brother is trying to convince me that the spanish keeper looks like Joubert...does anyone else see it?

Yes :D Casillas is more consistent though :P
