Very interesting quarter finals so far! My predictions, as usual, all went wrong. But I am not complaining.

I kind of doubt the last one will provide an upset, but you never know! Hoping that Spain will give me one correct prediction for once. My track record is trailing Paul the Octopus by miles.

But most importantly and as a shallow and proud female, let me just say may the team with the best (looking) players win! :D:D:D

I am in total shock  that I like Germany this WC.
Germany was never my favorite team at all, but this Mondial they play the best as a team, and play :swoon: together.
Argentina has great individual players, but as a team they are not close to Germany.

ITA with every word, I also have never cheered Germany but they are impossible not to like at this WC, I only got to see the 2d half of the game today and it was all Germany, Argentina really showed how weak tactically they are. Sure, they have the talents but it was the organization that was missing and this is all Maradona's fault.

With all the South American Hoo-rahs going into the elimination rounds, Europeans are bringing it!

Yeah, baby! I was just thinking how just in 2 days from an all SA final we are now headed for an all European final!

Go Holland and Spain and even Germany! :P

Considering Spain are the favourites with Brazil and Argentina out, they aren't very impressive...

What the....Spain! Did they think this was going to be a walkover?

I declined an invitation to a Renaissance Music Concert (they really chose poorly the date this year) to watch this Dark Ages anti insomnia fest :(

Unless they improve in the second part, whoever classifies from this match into next round should be killed, skinned, eviscerated, eaten and spitted cause the impossibility to be swallowed by Germany :drama:

Paraguay are excellent in defense and have shut Spain down very well and really stopped Spain playing their game. Spain need to be careful this doesn't go to penalties!!

Paraguay is the football equivalent to Middle Ages Chastity belt. Oh the joy! And Spain boring and clueless.

I was in Berlin during Euros in 2008; it was nuts then. Can't imagine what it's like now!
Wish I were there. ;)

Loud. People driving around and tuting their horn.

I love Swedish TV - no commercials :cheer: It was interesting to see how little time the Spaniards had in the locker room. They were in the tunnel a lot sooner than the Paraguayans.
