A red card means the player leaves and no replacement. Muller has two yellows in the competition but not in this game. He has only one yellow in this game which means he is still onthe field. Two yellows in one match equals a red and sending off. Muller is still there giving Argentina head aches. LOL

Muller is out in the next match though as he has a yellow card from before. That will hurt for Germany if they go to the semifinal.

It is not looking good for Argentina right now. :(

It's just a goal difference though - Arg does have time to regroup in this break. Look at the Netherlands!

Would place my bets on Ger though. :)

I thought cards were forgiven after the quarterfinals?

Now it is time to see what Maradona is made of as a coach. He has been brilliant as long as Argentina have been winning and playing well. Germany is a stronger team than South Korea, Serbia, Australia and England.

I wish Deutschland would've made the 2nd goal, hopefully they won't regret those few chances they had ... we'll see ... :shuffle:

Yes the cards get invalid after today but they still count for the semi. So if you're given a yellow card today and are given one in the semi final you don't have to sit out the final because the card from today doesn't count.

@ Zokko - if the Octopus is any indication then it will either stay 1-0 for Germany or after about an hour there will be the 2-0 ;)

I am in total shock  that I like Germany this WC.
Germany was never my favorite team at all, but this Mondial they play the best as a team, and play :swoon: together.
Argentina has great individual players, but as a team they are not close to Germany.

Offside? So far no replay.
Wow - 2-0 Germany. Will another South American giant have to go home?

Yes :cheer:
Goal #13 for Klose :)
Germany is a team while Argentina relies on individual brilliance.
